How highly do you rate Billie Smedts?

Reported in Inside Football today that Billie has recovered quicker than expected from hip surgery and is on track to play in the VFL soon. Great news.

Still listed as 'season' in an AFL injury list compiled yesterday!

Will they seriously risk him for a couple of games at the back end, or just lay on the cotton wool for 2012?

He must be itching for a run though.

Scott was asked about it last week and said it is possible he will play a couple before the end of the season but won't necessarily happen.

Either way the fact that he is back on the training track is great news.

If he's good to go, he should be eased into a couple of VFL games just to get the feel of things
Good preparation for 2012 would be very valuable for him considering his misfortune for most of this year, him salvaging a couple of games will definately ready him more for a full season next year.

Who knows yet...Christenson was pretty shitty last year and he has been good last few weeks....he hasnt been given much limelight yet...so prob not another 2 years til we find out.

Hard not to rate the kid after watching that.

Should win three Brownlows before 2020.

Seriously though, looks to be a fairly complete package. Could be very exciting indeed.

Who knows yet...Christenson was pretty shitty last year and he has been good last few weeks....he hasnt been given much limelight yet...so prob not another 2 years til we find out.

No he wasnt. It was his first year and he played good footy in the 2's in the first half of the year. Was regularly in the best. Tired towards the end of the year and was rested/played in the forward line for the remainder.

And he finished 4th in the VFL B&F. Not sure how anyone could be upset with that.

I like to wait until I see young blokes play in the 1's before I make a judgement on what sorta player they'll be but this video makes me think he could be a star...
