I've never been so hurt by a loss by Geelong in the past in my life, i get angry yes, i get dissappointed yes but this actually hurt me, the fact that i can love a team so much and then have to watch them lose wheren there 54 points up with just over 1 and a half quarters to go. At first i was angry and my wire door took the brunt of my frustration, i then went for a walk because i was gonna break something else and as my head cleared, this actually hurt me.

i think most of us can agree with you there that this does hurt. and hurts alot. I must admit i have felt more disapointment than this before, but to lose time and time again when i know we can do so much better is the part that hurts the most. I dont know whats missing anymore but i know i cant take another loss like we got lumped with today, its just too hard....i sure as hell feel for the boys and the coaching staff..cant imagine how low they would have been feeling when that siren sounded but they need to respond and find the faults and get back to where we were in the second quater today.

This one hurts real bad and no doubt the more we loose the worse it's gonna get. I hate it how Geelong always make you think that they are a genuine chance and then they fall short.

During the game today when we were many many many goals up I decided not to get ahead of myself. I knew that Geelong is capable of anything and you can't think the game is one untill the siren has gone (we all learnt that lesson last year in a certain semi final). Call it foolish or whatever you want but once again Geelong made me believe that they were going to win and then they crushed/smashed/demolished my hopes. Yes... I am hurt. :(

I'd rather have lost by 120, to promise a much need victory and then reneg....

What did we do in a previous life? It seems that all Geelong supporters must have murderers, traitors, tyrants or advertising executives in a previous life to get delivered all this.

Haha good call, i think my great grandfather sunk the titanic, shot a flaming arrow at the hindenburg, and caused the san francisco earthquake of 1906 (or whenever)

*cough* 6 umpire goals *cough*

Look on the bright side catters, at least you guys have the talent to get 9 goals up on probably the top side. Most teams don't. Geelong will bounce back.

Yeah, we'll bounce back when it's too late just in time to cost ourselves a high draft pick. :(

I dont think I can really describe how much this hurts.

I went to the 89 Grand Final as a 12 year old kid and felt the heart break of that loss.

Then went to one of the two we played against West Coat.
Heart broke again.

Then went to the 1995 one against Carlton, once again heart broke.

I have supported Geelong my whole life, ever since I was born into it.
I have been waiting ever since then and I am only 27 years old. I know there are a lot of people out there who have been waiting a hell of a long time more than me. My poor mum is 52 years old and goes every single week without fail.

I cop that much crap for being a Geelong supporter but it has never bothered me...Until now.

But I will keep going and supporting, because I am loyal and I really do love some of the players heart. Cam Mooney, Gary Junior etc wear their hearts on their sleeve and I really feel sorry for these two. They play their hearts out and then get :D:D:D:D on from the other players all the time.

I'm sorry, I know this is long but I have to get it out.

Couldn't go to the game because I had footy in Melbourne. Listened from the 2nd quarter when I got home.

I broke things.

This loss hurt me also and I thought that Geelong footy team could'nt do that to me any more.
When the final siren went I thought only Geelong could do that to their supporters.
And to think Mum and Dad were one eyed Carlton supporters that took me along to see big Nick, Jezza and company; Oh where did I go wrong.

I think that should read *cough* 7 umpire goals *cough*

But still, ya cant blame them completely. We were playing awesome footy and then suddenly something just turned. It was quite bizzare. Never seen a turnaround in footy so quick.

It hurt, Saturday, but nowhere near as much as a couple of Saturdays ago.

Mooney having to go down back hurt us too.

It CAn be done, it will be done!!!, no.8 spot is on 11-11 then who knows??? its all part of being a cat :)

I'm glad you can find something to smile about because I can't. I've been watching these ******s blow leads in games for 20 years and Saturday was the final straw. I'll recap some lovely memories:

Round 22, 1987 - 35 points up against Hawthorn in the 3rd quarter. We win, we play finals. They lost.

Round 5, 1989 - 32 points up against Fitzroy at 3 quarter time. They lost by 1 point.

Round 6, 1989 - 56 points up against Hawthorn in the 2nd quarter. Couldn't lose that could they? You bet. Lost by 8 points.

Round 8 or 9, 1993 - 38 points up against West Coast in a Grand Final rematch halfway through the 3rd quarter. Needless to say they lost.

2002 - 47 points up against Footscray at Geelong. They lost.

And to Saturday and another glorious loss. And they're just the ones I can remember without the benefit of statistics, because I know there have been plenty of others.

"It's all part of being a cat" - why? Why should it be? Why should we accept rubbish when no other supporters would? I'd love to ask why those fecking morons in the Grandstand were actually applauding them off on Saturday. They should have been showered in excrement, not applause.

The players and club are far too lazy, complacent and soft. There is no genuine drive and ambition for success. The supporters are not demanding enough, and the coach is a fool who will not punish poor performances. Either way I don't care anymore. I won't be attending again this year, they can shove it. I'm sick of investing my time and energy in something I care about because it's patently obvious the club doesn't.

I gave the season away after the tigers loss. We should play some young kids and play other guys out of position in a bid to finish 12 or 13 th. We need a top 5 draft pick to pick a quality key forward with pedigree. Jack Reiwoldt, I like the sound of that.

Then we must trade 2 of our slow and boring midfielders (enright and ling ) for another top 10 pick. Leroy Jetta. Jetta and Varcoe along with Prismall, G Ablett, Chapman, Bartel and Corey is a better mix of midfielders.

I go along now hoping to see signs for the future. Callan, N Ablett and hopefully Prismall soon.
