How much longer will you stick with the Tigers? If we continue to miss out on finals/premierships, how much longer will continue to support them, forever or will you give up?

I always will because you never know what the following season will bring.

Pft, what true supporter would EVER give up! (And no, I'm not a Tiger's supporter, they're my second team..always have been, always will!)

Never gonna give them up
Never gonna let them down
Never gonna run around and desert them
Never gonna make them cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt them

The type of fans who will give up are the casual types, and they probably wouldn't post on Big Footy (unless you just won a flag).

In all seriousness, after 25 years of utter failure, Terry's 5 year plan is probably the last roll of the dice for several casual supporters.

I don't expect anyone on here to have that kind of attitude though, otherwise why would you sign up for an account and post?

This is a really bad thread Sante... I am pretty sure people who follow the tigers would not be following the tigers if they have been expecting success.

Tiger supporters have rode the wave of disappointment for 27 years, why would they stop liking the club as we are improving? That would have happened last year if any year.

No one here is going to give up on the tigers

My point is what if another 30 years pass by without a flag?

For me that wouldn't change anything and I'm pretty sure most people here would feel the same way. I would love to see Richmond win a flag but I certainly wouldn't jump off just because it's taking a bit longer than I'd like.
Ask Bulldogs supporters, they've been waiting 54 years and there are still plenty of them around. I'm sure they'd say the same thing.

There will always be the fickle supporters that will stop supporting a team because they're not winning but I don't think you'll find any of them here.

Interested in the thoughts of some like the Snag, santa claws, deliberate!!!, beaver, etc.

You can never stop supporting the tigers. The question in the OP is a fallacy because if you stop supporting your side, you were never a true supporter in the first place.

Why are you even supporting the Tigers now?

I mean they're not the same players, coaches, executive or anything else they were when you started supporting them, so why do it? What remains the same? What keeps you supporting any team?

The supporters. The supporters are the constant. They're the ones who carry with them the highs and the lows (which, by the way, are why you follow sport), they're the ones who share your pain and your extacy, they're the ones you know are going to stick with the team through lean and fat.

So **** off if you like, we don't care. We know the supporters will stay.

I think you will find that anyone who is a supporter now will always support the mighty tiges.

The problem is, if we don't get some success very bloody soon, the next wave of supporters will be small. Kids don't just want to support a team because their father, uncle or whoever does, they need that team to have success so when at school they can enjoy it.

We need success now if we are the have a future as a club.

Seriously if anyone was to give up on Richmond in the next so many years then they should give up now. There the fans we dont need. For once we are going places as a side and very much looking forward to being apart of a bright future. I have been a tiger for all my life and i will be proud to die a tiger regardless of results.
