How much money do you spend on your car?

Aside from rego and petrol.

In the past 5 and a half years Ive spent the following.

$900 new radiator. Didnt fix the problem.
$2500 new transmisission. Fixed the problem that had nothing to do with a new radiator.
$500 New tyres.
$500 new brakes.
$900 new cam shaft and assorted hijink.
$750 more brake and tyre stuff.
$300 assorted repairs.

Probably spent about 200 or whatever it is on the brand new card which we've had for just over a year on its first service.

The ute nothing yet, but I think my alternator is ****ed so that will cost

Too much, bought a Ford Focus because my Subaru Liberty was costing me a fortune. But I don't think the focus is completely hunky dory so no doubt it'll hurt me there.

Ten or thereabouts. I got a bit unlucky with the timing of the cars I've had. Had to replace a couple timing belts. They're killers $$ wise.

6-6.5k is probably more accurate.

I have an 09 Lancer Ralliart Turbo. Best car I've ever had. Follow the logbook, it doesn't use a drop of oil or coolant and nothing breaks inside or out. Doesn't miss a beat, been superb.

I'm assuming that's an Evo or equivalent to it. Not really my taste in performance cars but I can see why someone would want to 'personalise' that.

When people start modding a bog standard $20k (or whatever they cost) Lancer then that's when it doesn't make sense.
