3 out of 4 weekends I'll get on it on the Friday or Sat night, usually between 12-18 cans.
Have the occasional knock off drink during the week depending on what work site I'm on.

I've stopped drinking altogether.

Once a month I'll go out on a Friday night and drink at least half a bottle of spirits and a slab, by which point it which will usually be Saturday afternoon. I know it sounds impossible but add a gram of speed/cocaine or a handful of pills and some acid and it's really not that hard.

December/February and that will happen fortnightly, plus there'll be the occasional festival bender where I'd consume alcohol seriously.

Occasionally I'll have just the two beers or so midweek if I'm catching up with friends or heading to a gig.

The vast majority of the time I drink though I'm usually on a bender and mixing alcohol with drugs.

This about sums up my relationship with alcohol / drugs. Will go pretty nuts during the silly season , or if there's lots of good gigs/festivals/parties etc , otherwise I'm pretty tame during your average mid season work week.

But you just can't beat that feeling of extreme anxiety/impending doom/depression when you're at the latter stage of one of those benders. Love it.

Traveller after work, a beer with dinner and a scotch before sleep.

I haven't been drunk in years, however I can't remember the last night I went without a single drink. I appreciate a wide range of alcohol, Crabbies Ginger Beer has been impossible to resist lately.

I drink most days.

That normally consists of 1 glass of wine with dinner.

I am in a wine club that I go to once a month, but would not even get over the driving limit on these nights.

I have a bar fridge at home that is full of quality beers. I tend to buy quality and drink less of it. That goes for all alcohol.

I have not been drunk for maybe a couple of years

Question for those that say they haven't been drunk in years or only drink a few a night...what were your drinking habits like when you were 18-22?

I used to get pretty drunk most weekends.

In fact Thursday session, Friday night, Saturday and Sunday session.

Edit - Having said that, I have never been able to drink 10 beers in a sitting like some people.

probably 3-4 times a month if i'm being a good boy but not enough to get drunk.
when i do go out i tend to try and drink straight which is 9/10 times vodka.

Average would be once a fortnight with about 6-10 drinks per session. Will probably increase now it is footy season as I generally like to have a few beers after a game.

i think drinking is a horrible release. it makes you stupid. it doesn't feel good. it ruins your body too. i don't see the positives.

What if you enjoy the taste? I very, very rarely drink to excess, but I love many alcoholic drinks.

I've mostly stopped binging, but seem do it once every 6 weeks to remember how much it fooks up my weekend. If I start at lunch on a Friday I can get through 15 schooners plus shots and spirits. I barely function for 2 days afterwards, I'm pushing 30 and can't do it like i used to. I sometimes need booze the day after to get me through an epic hangover.

I would have 2-3 drinks most nights, or 5-6 on a regular Friday/Saturday night.

I have learnt to enjoy red wine and Scotch rather than what ever gets me smashed the most

I drink most nights, maybe 2 days in the week I don't touch a sip. Usually I only ever have 2 drinks or so though. Rarely binge and on average I probably have one night a week where I push the beers to 6 odd.

I definitely wouldnt classify myself as a "non drinker", but having said that I can go months without having a drink. (I think my longest stretch was maybe 6 months, when I was saving to go overseas).

I just dont see drinking as that big of a deal, nor do I need it to have fun.

So having said that, I would drink maybe once or twice a month. More in summer too, less in winter.

Same here, hardly ever really. My wife enjoys a glass or red 2-3 times a week, maybe more, but it's a running joke that she always asks and I almost always say no. Occasionally have a beer watching the footy. Not too often though. Tend to save all my drinking for pubs these days. So I have one big night out every 6 months.

Maybe. :thumbsu:

Agree. I like to drink the good stuff. Naturally made local craft beers are almost the only way I go and I love trying different ones, although I have my regular favourites too.

I don't need many I just enjoy it to relax and enjoy the taste. Not to get plastered.

Used to drink probably once every couple of nights, not to get written off, but enough that I would wake up the next day and know about it.

Now I probably drink once every couple of weeks, on the weekend. No more than a six pack of beer or pre mix spirits. And wonder why the **** I used to drink so much.

I stopped drinking altogether in early 2011, almost 2.5 years ago. In the year before that I had reduced to a glass of wine 2-3 times a week as well.

NYE 09/10 was the last time I have been drunk.

I don't see myself drinking ever again really, it just doesn't appeal to me. I don't even think about it, it's just life for me now. Drinking doesn't even exist in my world anymore. That said, there are some great alcoholic beverages out there.

Where's the never option? I've never actually done anything apart from trying different drinks, but I just don't like the taste of alcohol.
