should be an interesting year for scott welsh considering he comes from a club which is known for it's preparedness to share the ball.

now that welsh is probably best suited to playing out of the goal square rocket is going to have his work cut trying to persuade bradley to play further up the ground.

i can see some angst happening early season between coach and captain. the coach trying to do what is best for his team and hip pocket and the captain trying to do what's best for himself.

There's every chance that they'll work well together.

Providing Welsh can stay on the park and off the piss they could be actually be a very dangerous combination

I ACTUALLY RATE WELSH QUITE HIGHLY AS A FOOTBALLER

Tut tut, i expected more from you Kooley, you're just repeating yourself nowadays on an issue no one, other than a handful of other trolls, agree with you on.

I think they will go alright...Johnno is a gun and Welsh can play...to me a good choice :thumbsu:

more to the point will Culton tank again whilst speaking to other players coming out of contract???

Scotty Welsh has one more flag than Brad 'Ooooh, he's so great, he's such a champ' Johnson so the home and away hero should defer to his better.

Brad Johnson is the epitome of the over-rated Footscray 'champion' who has never actually won anything apart from middling individual honours.

You and Kooley should get a room :)

Brad Johnson is a champion. I know what you mean about it being labelled annoyingly on him everytime he moves, but it is for good reason. Could have left the club many times for bigger money and never blinked for his loyalty.

That's part of the package too, unlike Chris 'I'm not leaving for the money' SCUM Judd ... Who will never be a champion ...

Yeah, yeah. If Footscray has all these 'champions' like Johnson and Grant and West and the rest all playing at the same time, how come they never even made one Grand Final.

Johnson looks good because he's one of the few halfway decent players in a team of no-hopers.

When it comes to Captain Selfish this is more commonly known has 'The Big Fish in a small Sea Syndrome'. Johnson would be nothing at a bigger club, thus his decision to remain at footscray.

the bulldogs will now have 2 senior premiership players and one vfl premiereship player on their list now.
Go doggies!!!

So, going by your logic teams like Geelong, Sydney and Collingwood have never had multiple champion players in their respective teams.

Also, I think it takes a lot more than a handfull of players to win a prem, namely, the clubs management, club culture and preseason programs.

Poor SLF, trying so hard yet missing the mark by a large degree.

What people have to understand is SLF has no knowledge of a Club Champion & Captain that actually shows loyalty to the team. He is constantly banging on about premierships he can't look back on and enjoy, because everytime he does, the only image that comes to his barely functioning little mind is of Carey banging his mates' missus in the toilet.

Yes, remember that Carey bloke don't you? Barely sighted despite Kangeroos being a fingernail away from relocation. Sad to see the balding git who can't keep his pants on has so little affection for the club SLF so loves.

Was actually watching some footage of those falgs on my Arch DVD.

Carey is coming back into the fold with every day.

How many Bulldogs premierships you seen in colour?

I reckon its working real well and Johnsons looking extremely unselfish.

top scoring team in the league
