How wrong can the AFL Record get it?

Posted this in the main forum too, but it's relevant to the Crows as well.

Was reading the AFL Record, and looking into some of the Adelaide v Melbourne stats, and noticed some errors.

1: Win-loss ratio at night 3-0

WRONG

3-1 - Melbourne defeated Adelaide at night round 2 2001 by 3 points (still have nightmares about the game - how can the AFL Record forget this game)


2: Highest winning margin 53 points Round 20 1993

WRONG

72 points round 12 2003


I wonder if the AFL just makes up half these stats! Also noticed The Advertiser make the same mistake with the second stat. Some people just have short memories.

it'd be a worry if these stats were also printed in the official statistical "bible" of the AFL!

Yeah.

I wonder how many other stats they've got wrong. Even the Advertiser used the incorrect biggest margin statistic.

Brucey will be going off his nut at channel 7 I think.
