Hurley's kicking is top notch, but I reckon he needs to time his run and jump when marking on the lead a little better.

How good is it? I expect him to come out of a pack when he charges in now. At the start I was just waiting to see him lying on the ground in pain with trainers and doctor rushing to him.

Anyone else see the speed of Hurley's hands in the 2nd qrt (I think)? It was just after they were talking about his knee/ankle, when he was pushing up on the wing. Put in a quick couple of steps under pressure received the ball and handed it off all within about a second. Set up a scoring shot. Looked amazing!

That goal where he pushed the Hawk off the ball to run in to an empty goal square and bury it prompted me to yell out "OHHHH ... TOO ****ING GOOD HURLEY MATE".

I was surrounded by Hawks in the MCC. Sitting by myself made it look a bit silly too.

But **** me there was this dude in front of me who must've been 19-20. Big bloke. unshaven and a bit ragged looking ... yelling "wahooooooo" in a high-pitched tone every time the Hawks scored. I felt like giving him shit, but I stopped myself. Thank god I wasn't drinking.

Needless to say he ****ed off 20 min into the last quarter.

One fat fack 2 rows behind me had the misfortune of telling me to sit down shortly before we scored a great goal. Deary me he got a gobful as I very sarcastically asked him a few times whether I was allowed to stand up now. There was hate in his eyes, but he was chicken-shit. Then he ****ed off at 3/4 time! Obviously wanted to avoid the inevitable walk of shame
