Im am about 90% less mad than i was in the corresponding game last year.

Barry Bandrinath summed up pretty much where I am at, the emotional high of making the finals has dampened my anger and i'm more dissapointed with the effort after quarter time. Complacency when we get a few goals up has threatened to burn us a few times already this year and its something we need to get out of our game.

We need to change this mindset of "a win is enough" now that we are winning more than we are losing, the next step is to develop the desire to crush an opponent utterly. All the "winning the close ones" practice we did in the off season last year seems to have dominated our mindset into focussing on protecting any lead.

Hope we go out there and flush the over-priviliged new kid on the block's head down the toilet next week

Yep disappointed as it's Carlton, but looked a the ladder and a home MCG final awaits us even after the loss. Can't complain too much.

I'm not to worried about that loss. Usually I would be gutted but I know the club are doing what they have to to make us competitive in September.

I would have liked Richmond to beat Carlton but the fact we are playing finals makes taking losing a lot easier. Hardwick will look at what we did wrong against Carlton and make sure we fix those things ahead of finals. You can learn a lot from a loss.

I’ll never be happy losing to Carlton. And the fact it was Brock Maclean, again, who lead the charge is like acid on my knob end.

Having said that, we’re fifth with an Elimination final in the bag. This thread is spot on. Time to keep things in perspective.

I think the best thing is that Dimma was filthy, and you know he's a guy who doesn't rest on his laurels. I think the Tiges would have got a good spray and will get a bit of a harder week on the track this week.

He wants perfection. He's the sort of guy you want coaching a young inexperienced list.

Me today at work after all the Carlton supporters were giving me shit.

Moved up to 5th despite losing.
Won my SC final despite Martin and Cotch having stinkers.
Got to see a debut game for McDonough.
Got to laugh at Bootsma again.

All in all, wasn't the worst loss I've been to put it that way
