After being banned for a number of weeks I have finally been allowed to rejoin you and have a say.

Firstly I would like to thank Mead and Danny Green for their wrap up re scratch matches. Both were very informative especially when I have no hope of ever seeing any of these practices, due to living in Melbourne.

The Good: Its fabuous to see that both Juddy and Cus are in great touch and sounds like Staker (I liked the Buffy reference by the way) will be a major contributor in defence. One of the big pluses for me based on all the reports is the form of Coxy and Doogs.

The Bad: I have also been disappointed at the current form of Lynchy and Sampi. It sounds like both of them have not been as commited over summer as we would have liked. I hope that this is just a youth thing with Sampi and his fitness will improve quickly. With Lynchy I am not sure but I hope that he is at least given a chance over Wizard Cup to show his what he is made of (IMO he can not be as bad as Carroll).

The ugly. Well the injury toll seems to be growing and unfortunately its our talls that are most effected by this.

Finally I would like to agree with RIPPER (shock horror) in that I was somewhat disappointed not to see Daniel Kerr being included as part of the leadership group. I hope that this is because he would prefer to focus on his own footy rather then being denied the opportunity for some sinister reason (I am sure that this is not correct).

Let the season roll on....

I hope that he was offered a part in the leadership group. It wouldnt have anything to do with him and Cuz's past would it??? They surely wouldnt still be sour?

I can't believe that everyone is so upset about Kerr not being in the leadership group.....

Just because someone is a good player does not mean that they are good leaders. I'd say that is the reason behind Kerr being left out.

Unfortunately Danny_Green won't be able to thank you for thanking him until the 17th of March.

Ooops I hope it was funny at least!

With me it was quite boring really. I complained within general forum about selective prosecution of those who avoid a swear filter.

I tried to establish a legitimate discussion which was closed of by a moderator which then ****ed me off and I ended up reposting a few times which was considered sufficient to have me banned. My account was then not re-activated for a week longer then the punishment period.

Thats life in the big city I guess!

Nope, they've patched that up. Apparently it was a misunderstanding.

No, actually it was a series of racist posts that should have got him banned for life.

That is a disgrace...

If you are reading this Danny Green I hope that whilst you are on the sidelines you have a good hard look at what you wrote and appologise to the people that you have offended. Your attitutude is not acceptable within a civilised society.

Exactly my sentiments. There seems to be some sort of belief amongst many that captain = best player rather than captain = team leader.

How did you feel about being placed in the Deputies group with all the old crew anwyays Disco?

No 1 ...welcome back, maybe you should have pleaded guilty an got a lesser penalty?

On the leadership issue, can I just say I was a big wrap for Jako getting the captaincy over Cousins. Benny was always going to captain the side and I thought (actually I still think) that Jako deserved to also be known as a captain.

I must admit with the expanded leadership group, I was shocked that Kerr was not in. Kerr is an inspiration and sometimes the leader isnt the guy that gives the rousing address. Sometimes its the guy who goes and gets the pill when maybe he had no right to even be in the contest or perhaps even the bloke who runs from half back, multiple bounces in the 4th quarter of an exhausting game and nails a goal on the run being chased all the way by a speedy half back flanker.

Maybe it is just from when I played but if I saw something inspirational it made it hard not to back yourself next time.

The clubs choice obviously, but personally I like the lad and if he inspires me a wearer of purple maybe he deserved a shot....maybe not. Good news is that you can lead/inspire even without the C, VC or even DVC after your name.

BTW - Danny Green ......your comments were an absolute disgrace....and to be honest your attitude is half the problem.

I read the link, although Mobbs had edited it. All I read was some very strong views that should be accepted in society as a right to hold strong views, albeit not popularist. The banning of people for having such views is IMO restriction of freedom of speech and reminiscent of countries run by dictators where opponents were banned in a much more permanent way.

It wasn't his views that got him suspended. You can still hold strong views without resorting to denigration.

That's right Streaker. He shoots himself in the foot a lot with his unnecessary abuse & denigration & name calling.

Otherwise I might not agree with what he has to say but I will defend his right to say it.

I'm afraid DG's rights dont extend to inciting violence and advocating genocide ...they then start to impinge on others rights....thats where I draw the line.

Glad he is banned.
