Laughed rather heartily when I saw that Justin Madden had transferred to Carlton back in 1983 as I thought he was the most uncoordinated dud that the game had ever seen. About time those brown paper bag blues got their comeuppance, i thought... Sadly, 287 games later I begrudgingly had to admit that maybe I was mistaken.....

I was wrong about Nathan Buckley, at the start of this year I was convinced he was an arrogant dick who couldn't coach and had systematically pulled apart collingwoods team for his own ego

I'll now put my hand up and say he is a fantastic coach, and having listened to him on AFL 360 he is a brilliant communicator and I respect what he says , building something big over there


Conversely I thought Malthouse was the right man to coach carlton this year , refused to acknowledge he had lost the players
