This may be a bad idea but when I heard someone recently tell me that it's common to make an opinion and argue it vehemently that it often doesn't change through stubbornness, and even though you end up in the wrong, you then twist things to make your point.

I thought Richmond would be playing in the GF and I was wrong - not wrong about some of their supporters though.I thought North would get at least 1 elite player this trade period. I was wrong.
Mmmm well Dons supporters certainly have a history of vehement opinions being proven unfounded also.I was wrong about Mason Cox.
This thread should be full of Collingwood supporters being wrong about Buckley, 90% of them on BF wanted him gone but they'll tell you different now.

Yeah the ridicule the poor guy has copped since crossing to Collingwood, was perfect setup up for him to be a GF hero, so close to happening.I'm starting to think I was wrong about Chris Mayne![]()
Somewhere in an alternate universe Mayne charges up the field with a minute to go and kicks a goal putting the Pies back in front, winning the Norm Smith and becoming immortalised in Collingwood lore.Yeah the ridicule the poor guy has copped since crossing to Collingwood, was perfect setup up for him to be a GF hero, so close to happening.

I'll bet you're wrong about that.I’ve had a long hard think about it, and can’t think of a single instance in which I was ever wrong about anything.

Somewhere in an alternate universe Mayne charges up the field with a minute to go and kicks a goal putting the Pies back in front, winning the Norm Smith and becoming immortalised in Collingwood lore.
Collingwood then proceeds to win 16 consecutive Grand Finals in which Mayne wins the Norm Smith in each of these games![]()
