The fact that melbourne wastes money on stadiums which have significant flaws and the only good ones (MCG, Tennis centre) seem to be dominated by 'exclusive' clubs. and you have to sit up in the eaves when there are perfectly good empty seats

My Apprentice, we have a bit in common ay


But I dont agree with the people who put themselves down to get compliments. Well In part I do, but, most people that 'seem' to be doing that aren't really. You might think they are great, but they may not have a high opinion of themselves (such as me).
So therefore they are going to say they are crap or whatever because that is what they believe about themselves. But the ones that 'actually' do it, I hate.

yeah i know sometimes they aren't doing it to get compliments but i know one of my best friends ALWAYS puts herself down so that i'll say something nice to her and it really sh*ts me! if people do it once or twice thats ok coz they probably do just thinkliek that but when it's said all te time about EVERYTHING... then u kinda get suspicious!

LOL! No, it doesn't only happen to you. I know that exact feeling. It's similar to the feeling I get when I put my hand in my back pocket to get my wallet, sh.it myself for a second until I realise that I put it in my front pocket this time!

Nice to know there are others around! The one I always do is shut the car boot - then notice the keys are not in the lock. My first thought is always that I have locked them in, until I find them safely in my pocket...

I suppose "hate" is a little strong, but I just don't think they're really trying anymore. I'm a pretty old school fan, so I guess my expectations are a bit high, but I don't think they can hold a candle anywhere near the third-fourth seasons.

Nowadays Homer's too oafish, Lisa's too PC, Marge's too weird, and the guest stars only show up for paychecks.

I sort of agree with you about lisa. She is annoying! They should have killed her off instead of Maude. Homer is the king!
