Just like to mention a few positives today. While it was painful to see some of the mistakes today.

The positives of seeing our younger players and the skill and enthusiasm that they bring to the side is heartwarming.

Hill-Showed why he is rated so highly and looked like turning the game for us with the help of Haze.

Suban-Getting better each week, will be such a great pick up for us long term, love his attack on the ball.

Broughton- 100% Bargain, great pick up and will have a real future in our backline. Great 1st game, well done.

The talent and effort shown by our younger players, just highlights that some other players that are more mature should be shown the door to make way for the new breed. it may hurt in the short term but we are not doing much anyway. Bite the bullet, go with the skill.

Schammer cannot be dropped, he gives his all and really we can't get clearances anyway and there's no one to replace him.

Johnson is a victim of where he's played I think however I do agree on his decision making. It may be a lack of physical strength in some cases, he has just not developed in that area at all.

Crowley will not be dropped and I don't think he should be. He needs to be played as a half-forward because he can get goals.

Gilmore was victim of his position. It was a poor decision to play him as a key defender. Gilmore's skill is to get the ball and/or move to open spaces and kick long. He could not do that with the responsibility he was given.

You are pretty much on the button there . I thought Johnson played well today particularly as the game wore on.

I just cant understand the Mundy move- he shouldnt be an on-baller . Too many ppl playing out of position

Not enough ppl get back to defend . Once we got in front it was far too easy for them running thru wing and hf in packs .

Watch the replay mate...ran to every contest he could...contested marks, plenty of possesions across 1/2 back....this JOHNSON HATE GROUP has got to move on...players like Head & Gilmore need to go

Was great to see Jonno getting back to some good footy. Kicking wormburners into the 50 after dashing through the middle. Grew as the game went on. 26 possies, 9 marks quite a few of which were contested. I swear some people make up their minds before the players have even run out

lol thats awesome, on a more serious note, Broughton's a beast, hope they keep him in the team for a while, and thats comming from an eagles supporter

Didn't really want to start a new thread.

Does anyone know how much weight Pav lost over the off season. He looks so much thinner. I'm just gonna say it, if he really was stripped weight to become a midfielder...thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I appreciate that Freo are in a similar situation to us, but do you guys have faith in Mark Harvey? I'm not a freo hater, but I just don't see it with him. I have more faith in Dean Bailey who'd have a much worse win/loss ratio I'm sure.
(I do come in peace, just want you opinion)

Two kilos.

True , they were his only blemishes today though.

That's not true. Some of his decisions as a losse man, particularly in the 4th quarter were particularly ordinary.

Not that it really matters, my annoyance with MJ isn't how he plays - he was pretty good yesterday - it's where he plays and how he is used. It doesn't require him to improve or develop as a player. That's why he hasn't taken a step forward since 2006.

hit the nail on the head, the exact reason as to why i dont rate him. untill he becomes an accountable footballer who shows the necessary desire and committment he will always be a jason cloke type player :(
