This is an apology to Ross Lyon, the Dockers and Dockers fans. I was wrong. I thought Lyons was the wrong man for the job. His coaching style I didn't like. But Fremantle are more than watchable now. They have courage, skill and self-belief. He must be an inspirational man. Well-done.

I was one of those peeved by the sacking of Harvey. But in retrospect it was the right decision to move on to someone better like Lyons. Just the way it was done was a little hasty. In the long run, we all forget these things, don't we.

And I have to say..a word of admiration for you fans. What loyalty! What perseverance! You deserve a flag you guys! Here's to a West Australian Grand Final in 2012! But it doesn't matter. Dockers have already proved themselves this year.

You were far from being alone there. Personally I had a great sense of relief when he was sacked .

Not many people find it easy to admit when they are wrong because they are too fearful . Its actually quite empowering to admit making errors of judgement . Psychologically it actually gives you more control not less.

It is a good thing that people get upset when someone gets the sack, so I always thought the reactions were to be expected. Made the move by the powers that be all the more gutsy.

Harvey shouldn't have got the job to begin with, there was a reason he had been overlooked a handful of times before we gave him our job.

gotta say, Ross would not have come to Freo if the club didn't have cash, good sponsors, solid membership, a handful of good senior players and some good youngsters coming through from good recruitment (i.e. potentially a successful playing group). Harvey did help get the club to that position so that we could get Ross, one of the top coaches in the comp. If any of the above wasn't quite right, Ross probably wouldn't have come to Freo which, until maybe this year, was seen as the joke of the comp at least in the East where he spent his time. For that, thanks Harvey.
