If Brendon Ah Chee ever hits you with a left hook

Wow Johnson must've only just scraped past Hinkleys requirements...

Johnson is certainly the outlier. I didn't include Robbie and Chad, who are both 183 cm, as I believe that Ken makes a special allowance for them anyway.

I think people must be blending Brendon's game with Callum's. Brendon hasn't really shown much when used in solely a forwards role and doesn't have the same attributes, it's pretty clear that his go is as an inside midfielder.

Ah Chee is the only reliable set shot on our list and the only clutch player on our list. Keep him and play him next year for ****'s sake.

How awesome was his goal in the last quarter?

The first was a better highlight but the second was just as good if you ask me. There's not a single player in our regular AFL side who I would've trusted to kick that goal in that situation of the game.

The 25m handball under pressure to a teammate hard against the boundary line in Q3 was mouthwatering.
My underpants weren't not wet.

He's such a conundrum. He literally has every single tool.

And it's not even like he was bad at AFL level this year either. 15.8 disposals and 1.4 goals a game. Better goal average and only two disposals per game behind Sam Gray. Well ahead on both goals and possessions than Impey, Neade, Matt White and Aidyn Johnson, all of whom played more games than him. An extra 6 disposals and 1 goal per game over Aidyn Johnson who had the same amount of goals as him.

His treatment baffles me. We've given Jake Neade more than double Ah Chee's career games. We've given Jarman Impey nearly triple Ah Chee's career games. If those two were held to the same standard as Ah Chee is, they would've both been delisted two years ago.

Absolutely this. He also kicked well for goal at AFL level too. I rate his goal kicking better than any of our regular AFL players. This kid deserved a place in our side way before Impey and Johnson. I don't think he was particularly bad in any of his handful of AFL games, yet he was the first one dropped.

Is he the conundrum or are Ken's double standards and preference for midget half forwards, instead of those built like Adonis?

The fact he can legitimately go into the midfield is such a plus if we started him off a HFF as his default role, unlike your Neades, Impeys, et al.

That said we'll probably trade him to the Burnie Burglars for 3 cartons of Boag's and half a block of Top Deck.

Regardless of whether AhChee is at Port, Freo or the eagles next year; I wish him the best.............but please stay!

I've always loved Ah Chee.

I can see him alongside Wines, Pepper and Ebert in the middle.

Could rest him forward when we need the class of Gray or Wingard in the middle.

Only flaw for mine is defensive running, probably due to only attacking in the SANFL because he throws them around like rag dolls.

I think Arch has weapons too but you can't hang on forever he's basically just replaced Moore on one side of the Young yoyo ya gotta move blokes on.. damn we are stale

I really hope he stays next year and gets a given a go.
Id be interested to see him start on a hff swapping with SPP.

Anyway he played a great last quarter and that last goal celebration while he was cramping up was probably the highlight for me from the grand final.

Players who can kick goals late in quarters/games when they are spent, are pretty valuable. Especially considering our final game this year.

He was very much a bottom ager when drafted and so it seems like he has been around a very long time but the truth is he is only now coming into his prime.

I liken his development to Roger James. It took Roger ages to cement a spot in the team (and he was recruited when he was a few years older than the usual draftees) but when it clicked, he had all the tools to become (and he became) a superstar. Roger had his breakout year in our horrible 2000. He turned 25 that year (after the season finished). Arch doesn't turn 25 until after season 2018.

Definite keeper- 1 year contract.

I don't know if he will ever make it. I just wish we'd give him a run of 5 games. Same with other players on the list. What's the point of picking players then dropping them after one or two games, only to drop them again and repeat the process? Ken is all about faith in his players, but it's clear he has faith in some and none in others.
