...we are on our way to the finals. All we need is Roughy to kick a bag and present himself in the last line of the forwardline for us to have enough potency to be a contender.

Roughy has been copping from all angles and needs to show he has what it takes to be a big AFL forward. The tiger fans would shut up about Tambling being better than Roughead and this could really instill some confidence that Roughead needs desperately.

Imagine the dockers players lining up next week to try and counteract franklin, yet he diverts all the attention and just nabs a few cheap goals while Roughead dominates from the square with a 6 goal bag. We would have a nightmare forwardline to contend with in coming weeks. I would rather see Roughead kick 6 than Buddy this week, but this is just a glimmer of hope :)

Yes, Buddyluvver. I wrote in another thread. I have the feeling Roughie will kick a bag not too far in the distant future. I hope it's next week at Subi.

Imagine if Leigh Matthews was still playing, a goal kicking mid-fielder. How ace!

Be realistic with Roughie. Not saying he is not capable, but we need to play the percentages. And that means, solid score board pressure from all players.

If we can kick 15-17 goals this week against Dockers, good chance of a W.:thumbsu:

Goals will come for roughy. He has been getting the ball ok,he just needs some more confidence and he will be flying.Must leave him at FF and let him learn the position.

I must be one of a minority here. I thought Roughy's game yesterday was good. I think he is very close to having a huge impact and like others would love to see it happen in Subi this week. Go Hawkers!

He is one of those players you can tell has it in him to become a wonderful player, but just isn't quite there yet.

Needs to hold onto his marks...especially when he doesn't mark the ball cleanly in hand with his first effort

His one-handed mark in the 2nd half was OK.

Your not alone here somocca , Roughy's been doing a lot of the bullocking work and presenting for the ball consistently and not getting the credit for it.
His ability to bang through goals from outside 50 gives the team a new dimension for other teams to worry about also.

I am in agreeance with your. Just imagin when Ruffy fires, well be unstoppable.

Been watching Roughy closely the last few weeks.
There has been a little improvement, which is good.
I still think it will take a while b4 he takes a game by the scruff.
Needs to match his size with strength(which I'm sure he will do), and needs a yard or two more of pace.
Not alone with dropping easy marks(see T Croad!) but really has to stamp that out of his game. Had he held the one where Guerra picked him out of a sea of bombers with no other Hawk in sight it would have done his confidence the world of good, despite it not being a difficult chance.
