  1. We almost certainly get a home GF against 2 very beatable sides.
  2. We get a guaranteed $160,000. If we win the GF as well, $350,000 and a shot at an extra million if we win the premiership (won't happen but I have to list it anyway).
  3. We get another week on television for those who are lazy, and another opportunity to go down and watch the boys for those who are keen. :)
If we lose we play West Coast at Subiaco next Sat night, basically for nothing, and the only access we have to the game is through the words of KG and Cornesy.

I'm certainly hoping we win. :)

That was pretty much the main reason I was happy to see the Crows do well in the Pre-Season so far as we can watch the games on the telly or go down to AAMI, if we had lost in the Dubia game considering it was one week before the rest of the round 1 games started it would have been quite a long wait until the real stuff started! Probably also good for Craigy as theres probably a bit more spotlight shown for example in the later stages of the NAB Cup as opposed to a Challenge game which will seen by almost no one, to see how the youngsters go.

Also if we lost to Collingwood we would have had to go to Albany where there was 2 season ending knee injuries on the weekend. We may have dodged a bullet there.

Is the Grand Final still decided on who kicks the most goals throughout the competition?

Can anyone post how many goals each of our potential opponents have scored in their games to date?

The venue for the NAB Cup Grand Final will be determined under the competition rule whereby the team that kicks the most goals and super goals in its three preliminary matches wins the right to host the final. Going into this weekend's semi-finals, Adelaide has kicked 34 goals, Essendon 28 goals, St Kilda 28 goals and Hawthorn 18 goals.

Cheers mate. A 6 goal start on the pack is very good. So basically we could assume if we win it will be here, and if Hawks win its at the Dome. EIther way, we will know how many goals we have to kick to host it. :thumbsu:

I didnt think it was through the competition I thought it was who kicks the most this weekend. I could be wrong though.

It is the team that kicks the most goals over the first 3 weeks of the competition.

Yes, got that as well mate, but I was actually trying to be semi-serious.

It would be wonderful if Craigy has finally turned us into a free-flowing attacking side for 2008.

I might have to burn my Crowbot T-shirt.

Oh well, as long as we finish higher than the Alberton sewer farmers I'll be happy.

Bring on the Showdowns!

I'd love to see us win, especially if Buddy is held goalless. But if we lose we play at Subi and I'll get the opportunity to see us live. I'm torn!

How do you know this?

Where did you gain this information?

Keep winning so we can stay on TV. :thumbsu:

One year we had a regional challenge match at Optus Oval. That was sweet. You could go out on the ground for the quarter time and three quarter time addresses.

That was in 2005 against Melbourne (if I recall correctly)

The money will have Triggy having wet dreams if we do win. Plus the expected boost in memberships.

I hope we win it. As long as we play the young ones in the games though.

That's been the good thing so far, the use of the young blokes. If the Crows can win the Cup with these guns, those guys will get a massive confidence boost going into the regular stuff.

to be honest i feel the whole thing has been slightly tarnished due to Carlton's recent success pre-season. I'm not sure what to read into it all.
