with finding a home for nathan eagleton - we have too many skinny runners at the dogs.

in all seriousness, would be a good pickup for the pies, averaging 20 posessions, 6 marks and a goal a game. 100% receiver, but you need someone quick _who can kick well on the run_ for your grunts to shovel the ball out to. he would improve at the pies withyour midfield, but at the dogs will be made redundant by Ray, Griffen, Gilbee etc...

eagle > shaw, davis, lonie, woewodin

agree with this? what would you cough up in terms of picks or tall forwards?

Why is Jason Cloke suddnely the dud of the club just because he spoke up about his situation? FWIW J.Cloke should stay since we have poor tall defender depth.
However you can have Billy Morrison.

Because he can't kick, can't play on an opponent not named Aaron Hamill, and has been found out for the one-trick pony he is.

Love his heart and determination to make it, but he can't.

Because Rhyce Shaw defied everybody and a replacement was need to fuel the anger.

Would you swap him for Andrew Williams? No! I didn't think so.....

J.Cloke has no long term future currently, but should at least have a short term one.
Wakelin is still in his career best form but with his age he could rapidly decline in form and fitness. Who comes through? Clement can hold up the fort and maybe maxwell can play on tall defender but if two of Clem, Wakelin and Presti are down we don't have much.

I just love how Collingwood fans are so dismissing and arrogant when they're sitting in the bottom eight, gotta love em I guess.

Can someone help me out, I have a blocked nose but can anyone smell troll stench?
But in all seriousness not trolling, Collingwood should set their sights on a huge recruit such a Luke Power, Nathan Eagleton would be handy but he's no star. If you want premierships you'd rather pay the stars then the good average players.

one of those players? I was giving example of players you got that he is better than, not to swap for.

someone mentioned tarrant + 1st round for griffen? Its around the ballpark, but I think griffen is untouchable. Theres no deledio/griffen in this years draft.

We don't need Eagleton. We have too many front runners as it is. We need ball winners with genuine pace and footskills. Burns and Buckley will reitre soon and we will be short on contested ball winning midfielders. Given we have a pace shortage we need to fill both holes with the same players now.

Tarrant AND our first rounder for Griffen? Me thinks not. I like the Bulldogs onballers and flankers but your goal to goal line is rubbish and a small forward line never won anything. I'll pay Harris but where are the other KPP players? It's much harder to find the big blokes than it is midfielders, without a good spine the Doggies won't win a thing.

Telling you now, Ryan Griffen = Next Nathan Buckley.

While I'm at it, Rhyce Shaw > Nathan Eagleton.

You missed the point, KPP players are hard to find and take years to develop. Yes Ryan Griffen is a can't miss propect but the ket stat to wining football games is marks inside 50. Who does Griffen and Cooney kick the ball too inside 50? It has to be a perfect pass on the lead because there is no one to take a contested mark. Walsh, been on the list 3-4 years and is still not a regular, Williams is years away, Grant doesn't have much left and Rawlings looks like a bust. Like I said the big blokes are hard to find and when you do find one you don't give him away for a kid who shows some promise. People keep crapping on how Taz averages just under 2 goals a game. How many goals does he average WITH Rocca in the side? Statistics are always skewed when vital personal are missing.

the KPP will come. star KPP are hens teeth, and nobody will trade one away. trading a star midfielder for an average KPP is not the way to go either.

star midfielders are more common, but still quite rare - most teams only have one. Just because we have two is no need to loose our heads and trade one away for a tarrant, who is good average but not a dead set star. At the moment we have absolute rubbish tall forwards. As soon as we can get two average key forwards on the park, we will improve dramatically. I think Eade will trade for one, and we will get darce back nextyear as well.

shaw > eagelton? why? the only difference I can see is that shaw is quicker. but he sprays kicks like confetti.

No Eagleton. His pushing 27 and looks a little ..well...older ..
If your fairdinkum about a trade we could not possible consider accepting Eagleton. We bought ourselves some time with Morrison and Caracella and dont need anymore 28 plus yr olds given we are in the midst of a mini rebuild.
Back to being fair dinkum...Iam on this Tazz thing , i think he needs a 'less' profile club to do well in and as he is a leading forward needs pinpoin delivery hence your plethora of mids could make his life easier then what it is at Collingwood at the minute...We will Give u Taz and our first round pick likely to be pick 4 or 5 and you can spoil us with a two of Griffen - Ray - RMurphy -Gilbee- Cooney. You guys have a crap load of mids and could do well with a 24 yr old FF.

Eagleton is just another Andrew Williams - another dud from a previously coached malthouse club. Gilbee could be handy though..!!!
Yes, Malthouse's essence was still oozing when Eagleton arrived 11 years after Malthouse had left.

Sheesh.
