Update: GCW owner Brett Lauderdale released a statement defending his usage of Sabu at last month’s Spring Break event, saying he would never put someone in the ring who he thought would be a danger…

That's what I'd do.

Even aside from del Rio being a piece of shit, what does he offer from a WWE fan perspective? He's a has-been washout that was always pushed further than he should be, and for all his title reigns didn't have a single memorable match in WWE. (Well, maybe he did have one... but it was a MITB cash-in where he left with the belt... and also left with less focus than Bryan, Orton and Triple H.)

Compare that with Vikingo, who is athletic, beautiful, a freak in the ring, and can offer a completely different representation of what AAA is to WWE fans.

I ended up watching the show last night, and I'm not going to comment on Sabu's mental state.

What I did want to say though, is that first fall into the barbed wire bed, I don't think was supposed to happen the way it did. I reckon he (Sabu) was suppoed to get caught on the rope and that's it.

Couple this with the 'rope' giving way leading to the head injury, I think the ring crew did a really shit job setting up that ring, which doesn't seem to be getting a lot of air time.

They (GCW/Lauderdale) are probably not implicit in his death, but they've definitely caused some injuries with that poor setup, IMO.

And should they have stopped the match after the head wound?? There was a LOT of blood there, and they did in Melbourne when Loco slipped, so not sure why they didn't here.

There should be major questions asked of GCW regardless of cause of death in this one.
