Honestly what did you expect them to do? If Dhoni came out to Australia and started breaking TV's then our media and our fans would be all over it and rightfully so. If any country captain acts like a tosser then the media has every right to report on it.

What are the expectations in this instance? Ponting (or any other captain) breaks a tv and the Indian media to sweep it under the carpet?

Simple answer to all of this. Don't act like a ******** and you won't get unwanted media attention. That goes for all cricketers representing their country in the World Cup.
