I played a whole bunch of story missions today, but I'm worried I'm going to finish to quickly :o

I just got finished the mission where:
You climb up Alden's tower, what an awesome mission with a frustrating end

i thought maybe i stuffed myself up by accidentally killing too many citizens when i was completing missions.

you can stuff up. I'm playing Good, and there's been twice where I've done a big thunder drop and wiped out a bunch of civilians and gone back on the meter. Twice! :mad:

Unreal game though, just unbelievable.

at first that annoyed me, but it's actually really easy.
You just need to walk around the building looking for the red light flashes. It's a piece of piss when you approach it like that.

I love the way the side missions aren't just tacked on, the way you open up the city. I'm looking forward to being Evil and seeing how it all changes too.

Right now about 3/4 thru the second island. All of a sudden I have some time on my hands, and I can't put this game down!!

In fact, I'm going to fire it up right now
 
I also read on WP about the game stats,, if you check your saved game file either in game or in the main PS3 menus (this one showed all of the details) then you can see how many blast shards you have collected.

It sounds like I'm at a similar stage to you Uppercut, also with that surveillance mission I sussed that out eventually and now it makes things a lot easier and quicker.

Ridiculously addictive game though, I get side tracked a lot and sometimes just hunt down Shards or Dead Drops.. I have all the Drops in the first and second island now and over 50% of the shards.

I will probably start a new game almost straight after finishing it the first time, that's how good it is.
 
Awesomely addictive game! I've completed the first island so far, finishing both the main and side missions and eradicating the whole island of Reaper control. All that's left to do there is collect the remaining Blast Shards and Dead Drops.

Also, how awesome was... the battle with that weird villain Sasha on the first island? But why does it sound as though she wants to jump your bones so badly? Do you reckon Cole was tempted considering his relationship with Trish was on the rocks? :D

yep, I'll do the same. Not far off now too I reckon! I'm halfway through the last island, & have killed some pretty massive Bosses.

Have you done the really tall crane tower on the second island yet? That is an epic climb!
 
Yep, halfway up that tower right now actually. Had a break to have some tea before I try and reach the top. About 5 minutes before I started that mission I attempted a climb because I saw a blast shard and thought the only way I could get it was to jump off the top. It is a huge climb, I'm pretty high up already and there is still a bit to go!

Wait until the final battle, hectic I tells ya!!

Also there will be a sequel. Which shitted me a little bit.
Just started up for my second run, playing as evil is much more fun too.
 
I managed to climb that tower. There was one bit where I probably wasn't concentrating enough and kept dying. It was funny after a few times but by the time I died for the 10th time in the one spot I wasn't really laughing!

I am into Historic town. That boss on the bridge was an absolute bastard, infact getting there was a challenge in itself. It seems to be getting harder and harder. Some of the missions in the 3rd island are ridiculous, enemies tougher..

My next stunt listed is blasting 3 dudes off one building.. just need to find 3 guys on the one rooftop first.

my next stunt is killing a flying enemy with a melee attack, have you done that? ****ing annoying, it's only 11/21 too :thumbsd:
 
The ending is easy once you get the hang of diving right, diving left, diving right, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle
etc.

I just beat the game. Really enjoyed it! I liked the ending and I'm happy they didn't screw it the same way they did with Fallout 3.

There's those thingo's sticking out of the ground which you can suck power out off so the rephrased strategy would be:

Dive left, dive right, dive left, triangle, triangle, triangle, hover while he *******s the ground then dive left, dive right, dive left, suck up power, hover, then back to the beggining.

Or you can do what I did:
Run around firing shots in any which way like a madman with an uzi when he is down just nail him non-stop until he gets up, power up, then start all over again.:D
 
I just finished, what a great game, I'll definately play through again. Wow. This is definately my favourite game on the PS3.
 
I'm going for Platinum on this, I think I could get it easily... the only trouble being the Stunt list. Some stunts are just hard to do, like the one where you have to Shockwave 3 enemies off a building at once. For one, it's hard to find a building with 3 badguys on it, especially on my completed game save with all the territory taken over and even when I find a group of 3 on my new evil file, I'm somehow going to have to get them all in one spot so I can blast them.
