Bulldogs skipper Katie Brennan faces a nervous wait ahead of scans on Monday that will determine the seriousness of the ankle injury she suffered in the dying minutes of Saturday's loss. She was wearing a moon boot after the game and reported pain in her right ankle but the club told the Sunday Age the severity of the injury was unclear.

I'd prefer we didn't have any threads relating to AFLX

i'm ok with AFLW threads though

Minor liagment damage for Katie Brennan. Four games left, will struggle to make it back. The girls season has been reamed by injury. Bannister, Huntington, Breennan, all gone. Had a great chance for a flag, but extremely difficult now, considering how much they struggled without Brennan last season. I have been really enjoying the AFWL, but have a sour taste in my mouth now.

And of course Lin Jong was asked a question about Jake Stringer !!!!!!!! (just his hair style Lin said he would not go with a similar style) Everyone, even us judging by the amount of comments on Jake on this board, is preoccupied with Jake.

Piece was about Lin's bad run with injury over last two years, how his recovery is 3 weeks ahead of schedule and that he is out of contract this year and is hoping he plays well and a deal is done early so he has some certainty. Just the usual "in depth " stuff from Tom Browne. Hopefully the season starts soon and we can get some real information.

It sucks for Moz but if I’m honest I saw signs in him late last year that I saw in Boyd late in 2016. Felt he’d have been best served hanging them up.

I actually think we can cover him ok. Gives guys opportunities. Cordy, Trengove and Adams is still a back 3 I have confidence in.

Hope Moz gets well soon and good luck to him breaking back into the senior team. Also gives Moz a good chance to have a look at what next year looks like from a retirement point of view and what he does in his next phase of life.

Shocking news. That seems a short recovery though. Why only 8-12?
It’s only a partial year and after reading the article it’s seem fairly uncommon so they’re ‘hoping’ it’s only 8-12 weeks and will heal itself, but in all honesty they won’t know for a while.

Morris sidelined with knee injury

Western Bulldogs defender Dale Morris has suffered a knee injury and will spend an extended period of time on the sidelines.

Morris suffered a small tear to his anterior cruciate ligament at the Bulldogs’ training session on Thursday at VU Whitten Oval.

He will be managed conservatively, and his rehabilitation will involve a targeted strength and rehabilitation program.

“This strategy will maximise the chance of Dale being able to play a meaningful part in the 2018 season,” said Bulldogs’ Medical Services Manager Chris Bell.

“While this is not a common injury, there have been other similar cases in the AFL where surgery was not required for the healing process.

“Given the type of injury this is, and the unknown nature of the recovery time, we will work with Dale over the coming 8-12 weeks to more accurately determine when he is able to return to the field.”

I get the sense that 12 weeks is a best case scenario and that if it wast for his age and the (unpalatable) reality of where his career is at, that he would be sent under the knife.

Hasn’t had a lot of luck last few years, probably gone on one season too many. Hope he can get back and play a role!

How does a partially torn ligament heal with rehab? It's a ligament... sounds worrying
