For those with Robinson i have concerns over him playing this week. Wont surprise me if he misses.
This. Good pickup.
Didnt escape my eye as an owner as well. Saints took the long handle to a few of them who were used to things being a bit softer and outside. Wasnt just the knock to Robinsons knee..early i saw him peel off and got murdered by Hayes i think it was, dazed him bad, then knock to knee, then nearly concussed at half time i think. Did bloody well coming back and still managed a score...great ticker for an ugly f'k.
BUT...they took a beating more than was reported and Robinson in particular might be 50/50. They also hammered Simpson also after qtr time every chance they got, Murphy just looked content to stay right out of it which shitted me no end coz i got him too. Softest performance i;ve seen from him...looked like he wanted out.

Not just heads down at end of game...Robinson was one of the few that stuck his head back in for more and Dr's would've seen those knocks.

Agree...50/50. Based upon nothing but what i saw. Nothing can do about it anyway, same with everyone, in my case no smedts backup for me with DSmith out (who i'm saving for Couch). WAS happy to cop 1 donut but potential 2 means a slight change of plan.

BigO in was pure arse to cover McIntosh...happy with even a 30 from him. Assuming 2 weeks out. Will watch if Goldstein goes well...they're desperate to get some form into him and that will effect McIntosh scoring big time.

Because you potentially made a mistake last week does not necessarily mean it's a mistake to pick up Horsley this week.

At an average of 106 and a price of 44 he's still a very good pick up.

Last week I decided not to trade him in. It was a decision rather than a mistake.

With Shiel out this week I decided to trade Shiel
Looking at all the choices Horsley seemed to be the best in terms of perfomance and potential value increase.

With the benefit of hindsite it wasnt the optimal outcome, but you can only make the decisions moving forward.

Will be pretty hard for Cornes to tag Lake when he is playing Brisbane at the Gabba.

Not good for his points then and very annoying for Lake while he's trying to go about his private business. Get the **** out Chad I need to take a ****ing dump!

I cant hang too much shit though, I meant to ask the question in the GWS board , but it was late, I had too many windows open, I was pissed, the drugs were bad, the dog bit my computer........I dont know.:o

Doc Larkins apparently says 3 weeks for Swanny...

So its safe to say he will be fine for next week! :o :D

The problem is Collingwood's draw before the bye. 1-2 week injury could well become a 4 week absence.

where did you hear/read that news?

He is probably paraphrasing the Geoff Walsh interview on 3AW, linked in the AFL story above. FWIW, Walsh never used the word "tear", he said that Swan "nicked" the hamstring.

"Neither of them are bad, but Ben's [Reid] had a recurrence on that same leg a couple of times and that's a concern. For Swanny, that's the first time he's done a hamstring," Walsh told 3AW.
"The scans show that neither of them are too bad but they're [both] at least one game and possibly two."

My own 2 cents: Personally, I can't remember the last time any player successfully came back after 1 week off from any sort of hamstring injury. Swan will surely miss two. The Melbourne game in R12 is a Monday arvo game, so that is almost ~2.5 weeks from last Friday night. So there might be some chance he could return for that game.

i'm happy to hold him for 2 weeks. the killer will be if he misses that round 11 game. i need him for bye cover for that round. if they rest him for that round 11 game, it means he's gone for 4 weeks in total including his bye, hard to have 600k on the bench for that long.

Yes, typo in my earlier post, should have read R11 game vs Melbourne, not R12.

The decision is eerily similar to GAJ one, 2 weeks or 3 weeks? Throw in the R11 bye complexity, possibly some coaches operating with three R12 premos (Swan, Pendles, Stanton, Watson, Selwood, Kennedy etc...all have been very good) and it becomes a very interesting decision.

Can hear them talking about it now, saying he felt something through the warm up but will play. Did the usual tests, etc.

Apparently Waters has done a hammy in the warm up to the game according to Gossage

Is this the same Gossage that said Goddard wasn't playing...?!

Me-thinks somebody may have hacked Gossage's account!
