I hope he contest and either gets one (keep) or 3 (trade away, than trade him back in)

I honestly think he will struggle to get back into the team or get many games. Unsure what the injury is without looking but 6 weeks takes him to a round 8 return at best. There bye is in R11. So lets hope he plays R9 and R10 than just before R12 we can upgrade to him, could be perfect timing.

Isnt he 28? or did i make that up, injuries dont read well for that age in your first AFL year.

Same here, I wonder how many got caught out. Rotten luck if you were.

I think the people that kept him did so because he was named as an emergency, so they thought he was close to playing and with high rotations of changes each week that he would get his chance.

Dont know when he picked up this wrist injury

Moral of story: Pick players who are named for round 1

Clifton was no more likely to injure himself than anyone who played AFL in Round 1. Arguably less likely. This is bad luck, it has nothing to do with who did or didn't play Round 1. Luke Parker played Round 1 and he looks like he'll be out for a decent amount of time with a broken jaw too.

Rhys Palmer?
James Podsiadly?

I started Rhys Palmer, complete different kettle of fish. He was scoring very well in NAB and always gonna play round 2 i think because of some slight injury?

why did he miss round 1 anyone know? i think from memory it was injury

As for Pods he doesn't count either, i traded my starting R1 rookie to him, made great coin than made even better coin by getting Pods in. I was well ahead of those that started with Pods by starting a rookie who actually played round 1.

Gopower sounds a little bit angry to me, we all get the same amount of luck over 2 years.

What im saying is 99.5% of the time its the right decision. I play the percentages, others take uncalculated risk and end up blaming bad luck.

Guys, please keep this thread just to injury/suspension related stuff. Plenty of other threads to discuss the merits of picking a player that doesn't play in Round 1 but I reckon this thread works best if people can just find out who is injured, how likely they are to return soon etc.. without having to read through the rest.

Definitely don't post a list of all the players you have out or the like because no one cares. :thumbsu:

****ing hell.

Thanks for telling us GWS, you *****.

He played in the ressies on the weekend and was named in the best so the injury obviously happened towards the end of that game or training this week. Certainly no fault of GWS in this case.

Leuenberger has an Achilles problem and can't ruck the entire game. Will be playing with Longer as support. I can't be bothered searching for it again but it was a pretty official source. It was mentioned as well on the Lions board.
