That's a fair few going into a new season.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

I think it's more related to when they are expected to play, eg the 3rd-4th round of the cup or challenge games is 4-5 weeks away. Where as Mumford is expected to play week 2 of the cup so he is 3 weeks away.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

That's what I thought.. in which case our actual injury list is much smaller, just Bolton and Heath.
How do you come to that conclusion? The rest of the players on the list above aren't just suffering 1 week ailments, they are multiple weeks away from returning.

I think he means for round 1 of the H&A season.

However, we all know how rubbish our injury list has been in the past in terms of accuracy.

I came to that conclusion based on Horse saying they should have a complete list to choose the Round 1 team from, and with no new news about injuries (I think) *touch wood* since then, I'd assume that statement is still accurate.

Even if there injury dissipates by round 1 we know that missing a chunk of the pres season is not a good run in for the season, outside those who have done pre season many times before.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

Bradshaw was picked for the SF after VERY limited Reserves time and dominated Lake. Lack of preperation doesn't always mean a player will be under-cooked for Round 1.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

A more recent injury list is up.

http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/injury list/tabid/11505/default.aspx

Bradshaw 4-5 weeks --> 3-4 weeks
LRT 4-5 weeks --> 2-3 weeks
Mumford 3 weeks -->1-2 weeks
Heath 12-16 weeks -->10-14 weeks
Kennelly 4-5 weeks --> 5 weeks
Smith 3 weeks --> 1-2 weeks
Spangher 2 weeks again
Craig still indefinite

Jesse new to the list, 1-2 weeks

Re: NAB Cup injury list

Oh dear god

Re: NAB Cup injury list

The most worrying one out of that list is Kennelly. 5 weeks would mean he have to play his first game of the season against Melbourne which I would find highly unlikely.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

Longmire has said a few times that Tadhg, Bradshaw, LRT and Mumford will alll probably get one pre season game under their belts at least. But I'm skeptical now based on this list that Tadhg will be ready to go for any preseason action.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

Braddy, Tadhg and LRT, prob Rnd 1 AFL Season against Dees

Even if his injury is clear Tadhg wont be prepared for round 1, Im also concerned about LRT too, depending on how much work he has done as he had a large chunk of last year off.

If you rush people back who missed a large part of pre season before there back to a very good level of preparation secondary injurious are common.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

ONE is showing it live I think

Re: NAB Cup injury list

513 said Roosy is commentating the game. So must be being simulcast on One and 10 in NSW using Fox's broadcast I guess.

Re: NAB Cup injury list

That's ridiculous! What happened to the promise of live footy into NSW when Swans are playing? Not only them, the new GWS market as well!
