If he does it'll mean he misses only 3 games for an injury that was originally considered to be 8 weeks

Not a fan of bringing him in straight away. Give it an extra week to heal or even two. At this stage of the season I want us to be a bit more conservative.

I wonder if Cripps has slept in an oxygen tent to give him magical healing powers or whether he just has a higher pain tolerance?

Either way- its after three weeks you start to lose fitness, IIRC. So hopefully he doesn't lose any momentum fitness wise.

At training on Monday, although he didn't do much at all, I was surprised at how easily he was moving around

Let him have to extra week or two to get a 100% it is a long season and we need Cripps fit and firing. Sounds like Lecra whenever he got injured he always managed to heal a hell of a lot quicker than orignaly stated.

If it's healed and the extra week isn't going to heal it any more, and he's not more likely to injure it by playing earlier, then you play him.

I have no problem with being cautious but the point is if the medical staff clear him to play you'd think they've determined that time isn't going to heal it anymore than it already has.

I'm happy to leave that judgment to the medical experts.

But I think it's hilarious that now he's actually closer to being available for selection he no longer appears on the injury list, even though he's still injured.
