Not a pretty win... Add to this list, or update it...

Harley - Hamstring (1week)
Rooke - Hamstring (5weeks)
Mackie - Knee (test)
NAblett - ?
Ling - Concussion (test)
Bartel - Pinched nerve (1 week?)
Wocjinski - ?

harley came back on did he not?

if he's tweaked another hammy it would likely be more than a week though

plus Varcoe was having some trouble, but he also came back.

Mackie I thought was a groin
Saw Varcoe limping a bit but probably nothing
Ling had a bad run, hit in the head, kneed in the stomach, raked at the eyes

I thought Ling had a broken jaw the way he was going off. Hopefully there isn't anything really wrong, he sang the team song at the end so jaw should be ok.

Harley kept on going, so maybe just cramp it was a tough slog for him. Nath suffered a knock to the knee, which he limped around for a bit.

I'd have to say that this year's injuries have caught up all at once. Prismall, Tenace and Hawkins may get a call up next week. We may need to look at Callan also for Wojak.

It will be interesting mid week to see who is on the training track and who isn't.

They did come back, but I think it was more so that we just had no-one else on the bench, we needed them to step up and come back on even though the coaching staff knew they had injuries.

Big week for the physio department.

tough week coming up fellas.

only a 6 day turnaround to play our first friday night game for the year against a decent bomber outfit with Hird in his 250th.

if we can get this thing to 9 I will be very proud.

i'll also be pleased as Im heading over to see the Collingwood game w/ a mate of mine whose an Pies fan (ugh). So I can only hope Jimmy and the others (well not Rooke, sadly he's out for awhile one would think) are up and 100% for the return bout...102pts they beat us by last year...

you know what they say about paybacks...

The only two injuries bomber mentioned was Bartel and Rooke.

Woj was just cramp.

Selwood copped 2 heavy knocks, same with ling.

Other then that he would have mentioned it. So i think we can breathe a sigh of relief.

Rooke seems to be the main one all the others seemed minor.

We've got depth to cover them and I'm just glad its mid season and not a week or two before the finals.

We've had a good run and our strongest team on the park for a few weeks.

Had to happen eventually.

This is going to be the first test of our depth, but I think we have the players waiting in the wings. Guys like Hunt and Prismall are keen as mustard to come in. Now is their chance to prove themselves. Essendon is ordinary, and Collingwood has their fair share of injuries, so we should be able to beat both of them. As you said, payback with the Pies... We will come out and smash them.

pretty much what he does to his opponent every week.

There is a difference between nagging your opponent and the smash and grab Ling had to face this week.

If you see Ling tag, it is probably one of the best experiences for a young lad ever. A guy who gives up any received accolades by sacrificing any input from himself to negate an opposition player.

What he did to Kerr was sheer brilliance. He has been doing it all year and is probably one of the best in the league. You guys wish you had him.

From what alot of people were reprting yesterday in the Bartel situation, I am hesitant to believe anything until Thompson himself says so. And so far he has only mentioned Rooke and Bartel, and didn't seem particularly worried about Jimmy. When players are seen limping around all sorts of conclusions are thrown about, when they could simply be sore and having cramps. after the game Harley was all smiles and running around and congratulating everyone - didn't seem like someone with any sort of problems.

I do agree however that fatigue may be a problem against Essendon, but most of our "core" players got through fine. Even without Harley we still have an awesome backline, Hawkins can come in for Nablett if need be, and Bartel will be hard to replace but this would give time for Prismall to step up perhaps. In short, all those supposed injuries are only 1 week except for Rookse; we'll be fine.

Well i think our major ones are-
Rooke- U can replace him with , Josh Hunt, David Johnson
Bartel- Byrnes, Prismall
So there are good quailty players to take there places...

Also the AFL site listed no injuries except Bartel and Rooke, Rooke being the only serious one. Based on that and alot of other sources, seems we will be going into up against Essendon with only a change or two; everyone else appears to be fine.
