100% INs (Once fit)
J.Waite
M.Jamison

Very likely INs (Once fit)
A. Carrazzo
J. Russell - Q: What is going on with JR?

In the MIX (Once fit)
Hampson, Bower, Armfield, Curnow

Q: WHO GOES OUT?
-Davies? (Not criticizing him, ,but this year there are many better options) should make way for JR
-Tuohy? (Young, should make way for Jamison)
-Joseph? For Carrazzo. A better linkman, playing the shutdown role. We do lose burst-speed though, but Carrazzo is a much better player.
-Houlihan? For Waite? - not a like-for-like change, but I think this is the change that will happen given the limited opportunities Houlihanjob has been given. (I've loved the guy, but checkout this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZfxtA3Y_co)

Jamo and Waite are the most imporatant ins IMO. (obviously)
On yesterday the Hoop looks a bit out of sync.
Carrots and JR's positions seem to be well covered, however they are tried and tested and will be nice and fresh for the finals.
I hope Curnow finds some form in the Ants as McLeans speed or lack of might be found out under finals footy.
Warnock has Hammer covered on current form.
Ins:
Jamo
Waite
Carrots
JR
Curnow
Outs:
Thouhy
Davies
Hoop
Mclean
AJ

I dont know if Bower can force his way in at this stage of the season especially with Hendo being a permaback now..
Having cover for the smaller type backman and on ballers is handy coming into September. Not having cover for the bigger blokes is a worry. Cross fingers

Going to be very tough on the match commitee if we can somehow get our currently injured players back for finals. Waite and Jamo are automatic ins, and should JR and Carrazzo get over their injuries, you'd have to think they'd come back in as well. So who are the unlucky ones?

Davies?
Houlihan?
McLean? (Thought he was ok yesterday, but suspect he may struggle come finals time against better sides)

One way or another, there are going to be some very unlucky players come finals time.

Out:
Joseph, Davies, Tuohy (very unlucky), Houlihan

In:
Russel, Jamison, Waite, Carrazzo

Depending on form:

Out Mclean In: Armfield / Curnow

:thumbsu: Most likely to be this

Can't see us making TOO many changes to the team coming into finals, as it could throw out our current form.

Can't wait to see Hendo and Jamo in the same back line together.

McLean is tricky one. I'm a fan but his legspeed...
He literally waddles sometimes.

Ideally we could carry him because he's shown in the past his grunt work makes up for it.

I've long been supportive (optimistic) of Brock, but I no longer think he has a role to play in finals. I would have both Army and AJ ahead of him, and by my reckoning at least one of those two will miss anyway.

In: Waite, Jamo, Carrots, Russell (Army)
Out: Houlihan, McClean, Davies, Tuohy/Joseph

In: Waite, Jamo, Carazzo
likely in- Russel
Possible (depending on form and injury)- Army, Bower, Curnow

Out: Houlihan, McLean, Davies (hasn't done much wrong, just doesn't get it enough, and will go out for more experienced players), Joseph
Possible- Tuohy (would have to have a bad game or two)

I really hope Tuohy doesn't get dropped, even if it's for JR. It's not warranted at all. Find someone else to drop to get JR back in the team.

Davies has done a good job back there too, but I suspect he might be the one to make way for JR.

Other than that, most people's lists look spot on.

I've given up on trying to pick who our number 1 ruckman is though.

Well our motto this year is No Passengers so therefore:

IN: Jamison, Waite, Russell, Armfield, O'Hailpin (Just need a big forward to help Waite)

OUT: Houlihan, Joseph, McLean, Tuohy, Davies

If these changes come about we will be a heap better than we are currently.

B: Yarran Jamison Laidler
HB: Russell Henderson Scotland
C: Gibbs Robinson Simpson
HF: Walker Waite Garlett
F: Kreuzer O'halpin Betts
R: Warnock Judd Murphy
I/C: Carazzo, Thornton, Duigan
S: Ellard

INS: Jamison, Russell, Waite, O'halpin, Carazzo

OUTS: Davies, Touhy, Houlihan, Joseph, Mclean

Structured so that we have 3 tall defenders if needed, 2 tall forwards + Kreuzer.

Russell and Carazzo provide more than any of the other smalls that go out.

Bower is in the running for mine, could replace Ellard. Man that sounds harsh, I guess this is what depth does, it makes you cut guys who don't deserve to come out, but aren't as valuable as the guys coming in

Seems that most people on here have noticed Thortons form this year because a month ago on here, incongrously, he would have been the first out in many people's teams.

B: Russell - Jamison - Laidler
HB: Yarran - Henderson - Duigan
C: Gibbs - Robinson - Simpson
HF: Garlett - Kreuzer - Scotland
FF: Betts - Waite - Walker
RU: Warnock - Judd - Murphy
IC: Carrazzo - Ellard - Thornton
SU: Armfield (or one of Tuohy, Hoops, McLean*)

* - not a fan but he does give us some grunt.

In: Jamison, Waite, Russell, Carrazzo, Armfield
Out: Davies, Joseph, Touhy, McLean, Houlihan.

Carrazzo, Curnow, Russell, Jamison and Waite will all be battling to get back in.

Carrazzo's game is all based on his ability to run hard all day, with out this he's not worth a game. He will have missed over a month with a leg injury, it'll be a while before he's fit enough to come back. Doubt he has done much if any running over the last month. Armfield was going great and now Joseph looks capable of playing good football so to push one of them out will be dificult for him.

Curnow's form has been terrible since injuring his shoulder. Needs to do more than play well in the VFL and really needs to dominate and for some reaspn that looks unlikely.

Russell was playing terrible footy before being dropped and has not had the greatest season leading up to it. Has had no run about his game like he is capable of and looks over weight and slow. His stopping ability has slid. Getting injured in the VFL won't help. Davies is playing good footy and has given away nothing beating Green and Edwards and some essendon mug the last few weeks. Russell will be battling to prove and improve his fittness and form have improved enough. Touhy has been good too.

Jamison has been out over a month and was probably doing very little at training leading up to his op. Reports are that he is still sore. Probably a little while off doing any running. Going to take some time before he regains fittness, especially the type to take on Buddy and Riewoldt. You can guarantee the opposition will try and run him into the ground on his return. I can't see him being fit and gaining any match fittness any time soon. Henderson is going pretty well. Henderson is still most likely going to have to be the number 1 defender when Jamo returns.

Waite has missed a heap of footy and like Jamison had probably eased back training and was on the fittness slide before he was out. Had injuries leading up to that i believe. Will have lost loads of fittness and match fittness. No doubt his man will run him around a lot. He's the most likely to make it back into the side as there is no one keeping him out.

The fact that there was a VFL bye this weekend does them no favors.

Fair chance these guys will need us to go well into finals to get back into the team and if we do that it will more than likely mean the players that are in their roles will have been playing too well to drop.

Can definately see Carrots coming back and maybe JR. Not so sure about Ed.

Would expect Waite back in the next 2 to 3 weeks but I wouldn't be surprised if Jamo misses out altogether. From what's been said he would appear to not even be running yet so our tall backmen come finals could end up being Thornton and Hendo.

We will struggle in the finals heat with these two as our key talls so would like to see Bower at least get some games under his belt as back up.

And unless 206 and Krueze strike trouble I can't see Hammer playing any meaningful part in the finals either.

JR Thornton/Jamo? Laidler
Duigan Hendo Yazza
Gibbs Ellard Simmo
Walker Krueze Robbo
Jeff Waite Eddie

206 Judd Murph

Carrots Scotty Army *Touhy/Maclean

So much reality in this thread it hurts.:(

HB Duigan Hendo Scotland

I/C Thornton Simpson McLean Armfield(sub)

That's my finals team going on current form and knowledge assuming Jamison, Waite, Russell and Carazzo can come in.
