ok, we have lost browny, but its time to start talking about the game of footy to be played on Saturday.

Obviously we have two big inclusions in Stafford and Hall. I would also add hilton who played a blinder on the weekend and could be used as our medium forward in the absence of brown.

who would you drop?

Obviously brown is out, i would also drop shulz but who would be the third candidate?

Thoughts?

Totally agree with Hilton Darth

Wallace wrote in the paper today " Crisis creates opportunity " and Hilton should be given the next twelve weeks to prove he still has what it takes to play at the elite level . As you said he kicked 4 last week and has put his hand up . We need the right mix of youth and experince and whilst Rory is no NB , he brings experience and a hardened body into the side .

One thing is for sure , if they give him a go , we will not die wondering .

The boys career is on the line and for mine it would be a great move .

I've always had a liking for the way Hilts goes about and have been as dissapointed as anyone that he hasnt't developed the way many thought when he was drafted as top 5 pick...

I hope like heck that TW gives him a chance and that he responds in kind...he fits the bill in many respects...rest is up to him

Good luck rory..

Exactly my thinking aswell. I've always thought hilton could turn into a real good player if he was just giving more opportunities in the foward line.

He is a very strong mark overhead and is a good kick. I think he'll do well.

Schultz for Hall

Brown for Hilton

Maybe Meyer or Foley for Stafford?

Ins - Stafford, Hall, Hilton, Hartigan/Jackson
Out- Meyer, Foley, Brown, Schulz

I wouldn't drop shulz. He didnt get much of the ball but he played on Miller in the last quarter and was our only real player that had and affect on him (Miller).

I think it's time for Chaffey and Tivendale to go. I think any of our younf players are capable of doing what they do.

We can't afford to have

Staff.Richo,Knobel,Simmonds,Graham,Schulz, AK,Gaspar and Hall in the one side, and schulz has been the least effective out of that bunch

The more I look the more I think Graham might get a spell also with Hall returning. Staff for Schulz, Hilton for Brown and Hall for Graham maybe. Depends how TW wants to cover Browns position, if he wants to use a rotation of exisiting team members, and keep a spare tall or one for one in which case a Hilton would probably get a run.

I would not be making 4 changes on the back of one loss , that smacks of hitting the panic button , although i can see genuine reasons for 3

Schultz is lacking touch and fitness after missing so much footy and needs to go back to Coburg - Hall in for him

Hilton for Brown - obvious

Tough call as to who you would drop for Stafford , they run all day those weagles and with Gardiner out , could be a tough week to get the balance right , i would say Foley for out for Staff but does that mean we are to top heavy ?

Schulz, would be more beneficial for his development to stay in the team rather than play for Coburg.
In : Stafford, Hall, Hilton
Out : Brown Chaffey Tivendale.
Tivendale, hes shocking and warrants a spot for Coburg, its past Round 8, he not part of our future.

Can't believe I'm the first to mention Tivendale, hes shocking and warrants a spot for Coburg.
Agreed with Tivendale , i`ve given up calling for him to be dropped , for some reason they keep playing him , got me stuffed

Schultz has not earned a spot in the side yet , he only got in with Halls suspension and has not done enough to warrent keeping his place in the team . I`m not bagging him , just saying he needs more time and to really stand up and demand a spot in the team

I agree. For team balance I think graham should be out this week. They really dont have anyone we can play him on with gardiner out now. We need as many fast runners as we can against their midfield. Foley to stay in and in forward pocket.

i wouldnt have foley in the forwad pocket i would much prefer to see him in teh middle then up forwad

foley out with a hammy aparently and hilton rumoured to be reported.

so if hilton isnt suspended,

in hilton, hall, stafford

out brown, shulz, foley

the question is does that make us too tall?

Yes Mankind(nathan foley) is definetly out, probably for a month.
outs
ShulTz would be very lucky to keep his spot
Meyer needs more game time at Coburg
Brown-........i'm not even going to say why he is out :( :(

In
Staff & Hall

Not convinced about throwing Hilton in. It feels like 2004 when I hear we need to rush him in. He's not going to be the quick fix guys.

Possibly Jackson is another option to bring in but not much else was appealing today at training.

Like he has done well over the last few years. :D Yeah good luck to him in his last few days as a football player.

But How nice would it be for him to come out weekly and play well. I felt sorry for him last season. He truely should the football public how much he loves the club, with what he did when he hurt his knee. All the best

Nothing about Hilton's report in the VFL tribunal results so he either wasn't reported or hasn't gone up yet.

IN - Hall, Stafford, Jackson
OUT - Brown (Inj), Foley (Inj.) Schulz

someone posted on another thread that he had been reported. probly a load of crap.
