Out: Cowardness, stupidity, unco-ordination
In: Courage, footy smarts, skill

Sadly, we don't have much of that :(

James Hird has retired and I think its time we all except it :D:D

I would persist with Johns, we persisted with Thurstans and now he is a slightly above average tall defender who can confidently take a 2nd forward and he can play as a 2nd forward himself.

Theres something you don't understand, Johns has no footy smarts or agility what so ever. He can't turn, put in second efforts and go with forwards all game. Every forward would just run him around, hes no good

Thurstans has footy smarts..something Johns does not have one ounce of!

In: Daniher Hislop
Out: Fletcher Laycock

We all hope he turns out to be a great player. Must say though that I am feeling quite flat at the moment after reading a thread on BomberBlitz about Gumby possibly being unhappy about being in Melbourne. Hope it is all rubbish. That would really turn this season into the ultimate nightmare.

You do realise that KPP take longer to develop... The most games he has had in a row is 4, funny how KP get alot more shit for having not performed as expected yet most of our midfielders seem to get an abundance of chances. Monfries 52 games before the start of this year in three seasons how can he get that many without performing up to standard but Johns gets 20 in three seasons, give the man a chance. 20 games is not much of a chance.

It's your choice mate to live in a fantasy world about the wonderful day when Johns suddenly becomes a league player.

Dream on,cause it isn't gunna happen..

Lets take a trip down memory lane and recall those past Essendon players who were in the same 'league' as C.Johns.

Peter Banfield

Brenton Phillips

Ed Considine

Tony 'The Ant" Antrobus

Andrew Underwood

Ian McMullin

Cransburg

Brad Fox

Todd Ridley

Filandia

Symons

Delaney

Barry 'panic merchant' Young

Kirzner

Doolan

Mark Fraser

Kepler

and many,many more....

I've spent countless minutes on BF pointing out to people the many flaws of C.Johns. But no more.

If you still wanna live in hope..go ahead. Good luck.:thumbsu:

You do realise that not every player is a superstar. I would be happy if Johns turned into a serviceable player. Also do you realise how may FB/CHB are good at a young age. Scarlett and Rutten only became very good after they were 25.

Fletcher was good at 18. Thats a league player.

'Serviceable'?? Thats a polite way of saying 'You're pretty ordinary'.

why not put bellchambers in for laycock.
bellchambers has been doing well in the VFL

Fletcher has never been a good shut down defender. Ever wonder why power-forwards kick bags on us always? Not every player has to be a gun. Dont remember 2000? Blumfield, Heffernan, Moorcroft, Misiti, Solomon were serviceable players didn't stop them from winning a premiership medal.
