Anyone here partake in this little ritual at the Gabba? I caught it for the first time after sitting with a friend in section 18 for a bit during the Port game.

For the uninitiated, there a few guys in around section 20-21 (not sure which) that sit on the fence who conduct the crowd behind and above them when a Lions player kicks a goal, e.g. "Bradshaw, he's all right".

I reckon it's great. Anyone else have any chants in their section?

There's a couple of guys a few sections around from me (I'm in 70), right up the back, who get the "There's only one Daniel Braaadshaw" chant going. During the Port match, one of them had a Crows jumper on :thumbsu:

Nothing else special aside from the kid who tries to get the "Lions *clapclapclap*" going.

haha, I've never noticed or heard that before! Anyone remember the Des Headland supporters at the Social Club in 2002?

Sounds great. Do they sing it over and over like the Poms do at the cricket?

We are in section 53 and have a lovely guy who jumps up and starts the 'Brisbane clap clap clap' during the game. Gosh he was working overtime in that game against Port, but I haven't heard the Gabba crowd make a noise like that in years. It was fantastic, I was still a little hoarse when I went into work on Monday :D

i remember that i was in section 19 for the port game

it was usually jonathan brown that they did it for

Nah. It's for who ever kicks the goal for the lions.

I sit in the section, I guess above them. I can here them quite clearly from row CC section 62. It's for every lions player that scores a goal.

Next time you see him about have a quiet word and tell him we are trying to convert everyone over to the 'LIIIIIOOOOOOONS' chant next season.

Cheers ;)

LOl most fun I was in about section 20 for the carlton and bulldogs game. In the game against the eagles these school boys had a great chant we were sitting in the top section with no roof. dammed if I can remember what they chanted. But it was good at the time (Got wet in the last minute and i though I had paid for a roofed section, its all good when you win though.) Buying tickets tommorrow cya guys there!(I hope)

Haha, my brothers went up to the North game I think it was, and commented on this whole 'he's alright!' chant.:p

I'm heading up this week, so hopefully I'm sitting near by, and can join in...although I'm really hoping to hear the fear-inducing 'LIIIIOOOOONNNNSSS' ring around the Gabba once more.;)

Yep as a country member I have sat in section 21 for all of the allocated 5 home games. Those guys have been there doing their thing all year. In fact, the amount of guys in the group has grown from about 3 to 10 or so. Its good stuff :thumbsu:

The chant actually goes..... what do we think of Browny? He's alright!

Cranky as that I cant go to my first final in 5 years because of some stupid la dee da work function here on Saturday night.

yup, we can hear them from 64 as well. Always the players name that kicks the goal. i think one or two ask the question, then the majority do the 'he's alright' part. Good little chant, and has been going for atleast half of the season, if not more. Has definitely grown in volume lately which is great.

I sat behind them in Rd 3 against the swans. Good value.

we just have the 'there's only one daniel bradshawwwww', but last week after tigger mucked up numerous plays, whenever he touched the pill, a few yelled out 'the travvv meisterrrrr'

Its got an end part to it, but i've only heard it being used at the criket.

What do we think of Juddy, hes alright.... what do we think of Browny hes a ****

I know Fraser Brown had his faults, but that's a bit harsh isn't it?
