Ive said in the past, a team if HBFs wouldnt necessary be a bad thing.

If you win a game 0.8.8 to 0.6.6 you still win :D

Watching the replay, JB makes a point before halftime to mention all our outs. Not normally a fan of Brayshaw but very knowledgeable of our outs and the importance to the team.

Says a lot about the normal coverage that I'm impressed by this, but kudos JB
Was it him that said Hurn, Ryan, Shuey, Yeo & Petrucelle were 5 of our best 10 out injured? Because whoever that was gets points for trying but got just a lil too carried away.

I get people don't like JB (I do) but he is always balanced.

Yeah I don't mind Brayshaw in general and he usually has a pretty decent idea about the Eagles. Brayshaw and Hamish are the better 7 commentators. BT has his place as a hype man, I can't stand him but appreciate that plenty like him, but shouldn't be leading any games.

Would be a great get for us.

WA clubs urged to tempt young Tiger with a “sweetheart deal”

Richmond will look to secure the future of Shai Bolton with a new contract.

Bolton’s current deal at Punt Road expires at the end of the season with his manager Ralph Carr saying the emerging star has pledged to stay with the Tigers.

Drafted out of WAFL club South Fremantle with pick No.29 in the 2016 National Draft, the 22-year-old’s stocks are continuing to rise as each year goes by.

Dermott Brereton, who is a huge admirer of Bolton, thinks Western Australian clubs should be looking to lure the midfielder back to his home state.

“If there was one midfielder you want to get on the rise before he does become an uber wage player, it’s Shai Bolton,” Brereton told SEN’s Bob and Andy.

“If I’m a Western Australian club, similar to what happened with Tim Kelly, I’m giving Shai Bolton a sweetheart deal to come home.

“How good is this kid? When he goes through the midfield right now, he’s an A-grader. He’s just got so many great midfielders in that team – (Trent) Cotchin, (Dion) Prestia, Dustin Martin when he goes in – so there’s the three starters if they have their own call about it.

“He’s an A-grader now. He’s electric, mate. He’s unbelievably good.”

Bolton, a dual premiership player, is averaging 20.6 disposals and five clearances per game in 2021.

Whateley and King rank their top four seeds after Round 5

Gerard Whateley and David King have named their top four seeds in the AFL after Round 5.

These are the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward, coupled with what the teams have shown so far.

"We've both got five teams we think can win it (the flag)," King told SEN's Whateley.

See their seedings below:

King

1. Western Bulldogs

King praised the Bulldogs earlier on SEN’s Whateley.

2. Richmond

"It’s not a move backwards for the Tigers, it’s just that the Dogs are playing the best of anyone right now.

"In a fortnight’s time that form gets franked against the Tigers."

3. Port Adelaide

"They’re the great seduces, but I do think they’ve got such depth, spark and talent – wildcard talent – in that forward line."

4. Melbourne

"Because the captain (Max Gawn) is now endorsed as the man. In the crunch, I am your man.

"It just formats the structure of a football club when the captain kicks a goal from 50m out to give you a two-goal buffer."

Whateley

1. Richmond

"I just won’t hear of Richmond not being one.

"Because of that first hint of, ‘alright, let’s assess Richmond after two losses on the trot’ and they just destroyed St Kilda.

"It’s easy to overlook just how good Richmond were – their system is awesome and it was the ruthlessness."

2. Port Adelaide

"1 v 2 played each other last week in Round 4 on the Friday night.

"I’ve got Port at two."

3. Western Bulldogs

"It’s just exhilarating the way that they play."

4. West Coast

"I’m not unconditional on West Coast, but I love what they do at Optus (Stadium)."

Would love to get Bolton home, he just has a knack of making plays whenever he's in that centre square rotation.

Would be a great get but can't see him leaving, would cost a fair bit and I'm not sure we'd be willing to cough up given what we paid for TK a year and a half ago and the high wage he'd command given what we told our players last year after the even salary cuts across the list, saying we wouldn't be trying to land any big fish this season.

Melbourne & Port should not be mentioned in the same breath as teams with most confidence in going forward. Two very flaky sides imo.
