I saw philhawk's good idea on the Hawks board and thought we should have one. Just a thread for new people to the forum to get to know other people.

Hello everyone i am daics cousin and follow the pies but my other cousin also played for carlton......Ange christou who now lives on the greek islands.I remember when we were younger ange was a one eyed collingwood supporter how things have changed since he got picked up by the blues .When i saw him a few months ago i asked him whether he still has a soft spot for the pies? His reply was are your kidding i hate collingwood,His best friend is kooooooooota....

Hey everyone. I'm pretty new here. Thanks everyone for not flaming any of my comments, because that often happens to newbies on other forums. It just shows that the Collingwood family are as one!

I'm 25 years old and I've followed the pies since Round 3 1988 when my fanatical magpie supporter parents took me along to see Collingwood v Richmond. We kicked ten goals in the first quarter and went on to win by 70 points. BT and Starcevich kicked a bag, and I was devoted for life.

That year I never understood why my parents talked about how much pain they had suffered as Collingwood supporters. We seemed to win almost every game we played that year. I started looking back at our history, and I was so proud when I read about the magpies and their achievements. Now that I'm 25, I understand a little bit better what mum and dad were getting at. But even so, I can't imagine what it would be like to support another team. What a sad old competition it would be without Collingwood.

Oh yeah and a week or so ago as I was huddled next to the radio listening to whether Taz was going to stay or go, my girlfriend told me that my emotional attachment to Collingwood was "sick". She's probably right.:)

I like this idea but im worried i will give away who i am. I have allways wondered who people on this thread are. You can sometimes tell by particular info been given, if there in the club or close to the club or just a die hard pie supporter. I often thought i would start a thread for a game next year telling everyone to sit in a particular section of the ground and when a goal is scored hold up a banner or sign with there user name on it like DJ Black @ White blood just to put a face to peoples name. I recon a few would be suprised. (sorry if this sounds like a dumb idea)
