Ok I'm having a little problem.

I wake up today, turn on my iPod, and get that icon that tells me I need to plug it into the computer and I also see the iTunes logo. I left my USB cable in America but even if I go buy one, why would this be happening anyway?

Is this a bad sign?

Pretty sure theres an application in America that conserves battery life. I remember a poster talking about it a while ago.

No Australian release as of yet

Looking good so far. Messages has been changed, you can now use landscape, and delete individual messages. Havent tried MMS yet, will wait till the opportunity arises.

Maps seems a lot faster to use, as does Safari.

I currently have an iPod 30gb video and i'm thinking of getting a touch and keeping the other one for videos. What gb touch should i look at?
What are you going to put on it? Work out how much space you need, and get the smallest one that accommodates your needs.
ipod touch's are so good for videos though.

Just a note, my unscratchable screen got a scratch! A small one (about 1cm), but it's one that if you know it's there, you always see it. No idea how i got it :(.

I almost got an 8gb iPod touch thinking it would be enough. But i got the 16gb one to be on the safe side. I've used up 10-11gb now i think. Videos, apps etc all add up on top of the music you have already on there. Btw, my 16gb iPod only has 14.5gb capacity. Not sure how much actual capacity the 8gb model would have. Maybe the same in OS (i assume) down to 6.5gb?

Depends what kind of media you're into. If you have TV shows and movies that you watch once and then delete, then you can manage well on a smaller capacity. But if you have a large music collection that you MUST have with you at all times then go the larger one.
