He put in an aparantly stellar pre-season, and still couldn't have an impact in a VFL game when the heat was on.

Yeah but up to three of them may be replaced by rookie promotions, so effectively its only seven players who need to be replaced via trading and the draft.

Yeh, we could promote 3 rookies, take 1 PSD and use picks 2, 5, 21, 37, 53 and get a couple of trades to turn over 10+ from the list and still have a soft slow and poorly skilled list.

We have chopped 5 so far and we still have to look at:
King, Davis, Walker, Woewodin, O'Bree, Morrison, Hall, Lonie and Cole at least. That's 14 all up and we could go further and still be chopping players that we wouldn't miss. We won't turn over 14 but we should turn over 10 IMO. We will have zero depth but so what. These guys provide options for losing combinations not depth to keep the team winning.

That 14 and the ones that went last year are the reason we are where we are. Injuries don’t help but the reality is we have so few decent senior players that we will always be hurt by injuries. Unfortunately we won’t turn over as many players as we need to. When MM came to town he did what we now need done but since then he has shown neither the courage, the judgment nor the accountability to do the same with his list.

B Johnson (but only if he walks, otherwise he's a required player)

Think it will end up being nine and we'll keep both Hall and Walker. Of the trades I'd imagine the most tradeable (apart from BJ) would be Cole and Lonie.

Swan and Shaw were not slow fat forward pockets.

They both had poor 2004's but nobody seriously thought they should be chopped at the end of last season. Under the pump, yes, but out the door, no.

nothing will be gained from keeping King....he is the type of player this club does NOT need, lacks pace, one dimensional, etc....would eb accepting mediocrity and validating past draft selections when everyone pretty much has come and said our recruiting sucks

only thing going for him is he will have a crack thats about it

another club might have a look at him, but he wont be at Lexus Centre enxt season
