I've been everywhere, man
AFL Club
Collingwood
I found myself cursing the umpire and shouting " GO FEV" in that last quarter.

Not only did I want him to get the 100, but I wanted him to take the Coleman from Buddy.

Remarkable effort from the man, but I'm actually pretty worried about myself. I mean this is Carlton we're talking about, I'm supposed to be hoping he kicks none, aren't I??

What's the problem??

Haha, nice one.

Honestly, no matter which club/player is involved, I just love seeing those milestones. I am actually looking forward to Lloyd kicking 110 more goals for his 1,000th. That will be a very special occasion, even if I do hate the Bombers.

Because unlike Hawthorn you know that it would be great for this great game.

Even i was hoping we would get it. It would have been one of the greatest moments in the history of Australian football.

Stupid. Trivialising a milestone achievement cheapens the game.
You must earn the 100, thats why it can create the excitement like tonight. Giving a player a charity goal would diminish the game far more than it would help it.

That's rubbish. Diminish?! You have to be kidding. The game was won, it was over, the Hawks had the points and the glory.

How long has playing 1 on 1 footy been clased as gifting someone a goal, seriously i know he smashed Croad by kicking 7 in a half but how can you call playing on your direct opponent 1 on 1 "gifting him a goal"??? thats all everyone wanted to see.

I never said anything in this thread about it being a gift to play one on one. Playing in any other way than you normally would, with any sort of motive directed to allowing someone to kick his 100th goal, or even deliberately manipulating and increasing his chances of kicking said goal trivialises everything the milestone should stand for.

If a player has kicked 7 in a half, you drop an extra player back on him. Simple.

If you know where a team will kick the ball, as the loose defender, would you not fill the whole in front of Fevola? If no, then that is an attempt to fabricate a record, and tarnish the achievements of some of the greats who legitimately earned the honour.

Milestones must be earned, every game, and not conceded because a player got himself "close enough to deserve special treatment". Fevola played a great game, and had a great season. We're all going to have different views on this, that's just my take on it

Carlton supporters. be happy, We don't have the biggest idiot ever to be a coach as our coach.

Simple, he can coach but he is a ******** of a person, biggest whinger when Hawthorn lose.

Just be happy that we aren't in their boat with such a ******** as their coach. I feel sorry for them.

and if the Dawks werent such a boring bunch of tossers who must stifle anything that detracts from the glory that is in their own underpants, you must admit that playing 4 players on Fev when you had already won the game was wrong...

but then again, you are a supporter of a team that counts amongst its legends a guy who pissed on one of his own team mates while that team mate was in a spa...

At least Fev just pissed on a window...

wow this got out of hand. shame he didnt do it, but he can save it for our finals push next year, keep him keen

what you felt was just a little bit of respect that the big 3 ( yes 3 )clubs do have for each other, genuine hate of course but basic level of respect, when buudy got his second every single Carlton supporter in the area i was in stood and applauded, and were happy to be at an event with a sense of occation and possible history, and out of the 49 000 people there inclueding most of the dawks supporters, we were wishing like hell that Fev would get there, enter A Clarkson and a couple of no sense of occation umpires, we would have wittnessed one of the most unique achievmends to have ever happened on the footy field, i have never had any respect for Clarkson and last night he reaffirmed to me why i dont, Brenden Fevola was fantastic and ended the game in my eyes as a hero, some of his team mates should be ashamed of themselves today to many of them did not lift for the occation and imo let Fev down badly.
