I know that old adage about being humble on the way up.

I want us to torture everyone on the way up. I want our little league to smash the hawks little league. I’d be happy to play some 14 year olds and make them call it out awkwardly.

I want us to give paddy dangermouse a 5 minute window to unleash his comedy at the grand finals breakfast, and put the word out not to laugh at anything.

I want us to be in caddy’s ear all year. Convince him to go public with the trade request. Then say sorry m8y we’re playing pinky forward next year, you can go back to the bombres.

That outcome simply does not register in my brain anymore. It’s dangerous because it could lead to a total breakdown if it happens.

Despite the disappointment of tonight it's the first time since mid-2019 we've put together a good month of footy.

I needed to see that to move on from the trauma of the previous 6 seasons. We're a competent footy side again and excited by what's to come.

Yeah, reading the post match thread it’s pretty incredible how much our expectations have grown of this team in 7 rounds this year. By any measure, compared to the tripe dished up for the last five or six years, today was decent. We weren’t at our best, but we looked like a team that footballs.

There has to be a real risk of a crash next week against a Cats side who rarely lose at home and rarely lose a few on the trot. If we can take it up to them on that dung heap, the corner will be turned.

I reckon the turn has been cornered but if we take it up to them next week we're miles ahead of where I thought we'd be.

Get Chom and Stiffy back in next week, Goater in the 2nd half of the year and the defence looks a lot better.
Hopefully one of Shotty or Thredgold can take one of the KPD spots next year, and we can bring in a Jordan Butts type

Average losing margin of about 275 points in their 4 games so far. Struggling for numbers, haven't been able to field a ressies side last 2 weeks. This week their senior grade is forfeiting but they're fielding a ressies team. Lots of injuries, my daughter's boyfriend plays for them and broke his sternum last week another bloke dislocated his shoulder. Talk about their better players being loaned to other clubs for the rest of the year.

That sounds like the last year we had at Nimbin, without the bit about a reserves side.
