A few gems from surveys of Israelis.

Only 16% believe a 2-state solution is possible.
Only 47% think the Israeli Govt is committed to peace (despite what their supporters outside the country promise is true, the locals don't even believe it). That's about the same as what they think of the PA (45%)
52% of Israelis think West Bank Settlements are an obstacle to peace.

I’ve never been a fan of Greta, but credit where it’s due, it takes some serious guts to put yourself at the mercy of Israel (and credit to Liam Cunningham and the rest of the crew). Israel clearly don’t care about human life, I guess it just comes down to whether they want to deal with the negative press of killing some famous people.

A noxious pest in Australian freshwater systems. If you catch one you can't put it back - you put them to death quickly or you leave them on the bank to slowly suffocate and die. Because they're pests.

Oh, KARP. Not carp?

Imported from overseas if I remember correctly.....evidently some here thought that they would provide benefits to the locals but they just choke up everything.....oh, you were referring to the fish?

I've seen criticism of her, about her being privileged. It takes real courage to take that privilege and sail to save starving people, even if only performatively.

It takes zero courage to use your privilege to vote for more privilege (conservative) and then complain about others and what they do with their privilege.

People who criticise her for her environmental stuff, often feel embarrassed about how little they do to help make this planet sustainable. I find the public worship of individuals or the public hate of them puzzling. It's hard to imagine how loved elon musk was a year ago.

People who criticise Greta in this case will be israeli supporters. They use anything to pursue their goal.

Surely anyone who doesn't criticise Greta is anti-Semitic.

of course, and its our democratic duty too.

I just briefly read a report about that little weasel, Marco Rubio, and how he commented on the Tiananmen square incident anniversary. "Today we commemorate the bravery of the Chinese people who were killed as they tried to exercise their fundamental freedoms, as well as those who continue to suffer persecution as they seek accountability and justice for the events of June 4, 1989," Rubio said.

His country blocked a resolution yesterday in the UN security council to stop the slaughter...

I was just watching a few minutes of a speech by a palestinian woman at the oxford university, where she mentioned a string of israeli leaders who have changed their polish, ukrainian etc names, so that they could "fit in better" in the middle east. I dont trust people who change their names. They are hiding something.

Do any other posters see any issue with this?
We're just making fun of Karp (the scumbag human) and carp (the introduced pest species (in Australian waters anyway)). I initiated the comparison so it is all on me.

I despise those who stand with Netanyahu's Israel. They work against our collective humanity as all Far Right/Racist Right scumbags do and so I will dehumanise them as I see fit.

Death to the Far Right in all its guises!

Like Netanyahu?
This suggests that the name changing was fairly common, and in this case straight forward.
Apart from that , daddy was a piece of work.

Anyway i'm sure they are all cut up that you don't trust them.
I have a friend who changed the spelling but not the pronunciation of his name because he hated having an identical name to his father.

I dont expect them to be concerned about me. I was just stating my opinion...

US President Donald Trump signed a new travel ban banning people from 12 countries to “protect Americans from dangerous foreign actors”, the White House said.

The ban targets nationals of Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, it said in a statement.

President Trump said he had signed the ban because of an attack on a Jewish protest in Colorado that authorities blamed on a man they say was in the country illegally.

The attacker, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, an Egyptian national whose US visa expired in 2023.

Reminds me of a rerun of the world trade centre thingy....everyone involved seemed to be saudi and the rest of the muslim world suffered..

Here's my view, please help me where I'm wrong.
You were just talking about Karp, and I agree with your assessment of him and people like him.

Markfs wasn't.

Alexander Caedmon Karp was born on October 2, 1967, in New York City,[2][3] the eldest son of Robert Joseph Karp, a Jewish clinical pediatrician.

A new surprise every day....I wonder if Israel will have special access.

Imported from overseas if I remember correctly.....evidently some here thought that they would provide benefits to the locals but they just choke up everything.....oh, you were referring to the fish?
Imported from where?
Who is?

There is a lot of anti-Zionism that is covered up with claims of racism or anti-Semitism. And it's just to distract and diminish the ongoing genocide on Palestinians.

So if you really don't think there is anything to Markfs posting more than any other poster, with repeated dog whistles. I'll take it on board and try to reassess.

But I think it's important to not let actual racist shadow your posts and positions, poisoning the discussion. As it does nothing but promote radicalism, and provide substance to the Israeli propaganda that 'everything is antisemitism'.

So again, that's my position. Let me know I'm wrong and maybe where I'm wrong as well, to help me see it's a forest for the trees situation.

You're easily distracted.....

Well... if you don't like your neighbor, you can move... or get the unbiased police to intervene, if crimes have been committed.

Taking the law into your own hands and killing your neighbors just will not do, and the law will come down on you.!

Supposedly.

You use the word "Jews" when talking about political decisions.

It's clear that Zionist groups are supportive of genocide. A

And recent surveys out of Israel suggests they're all pro-genocide at levels exceeding Nazi support in Germany.

So I think it's acceptable to say Israelis or Zionists support the genocidal actions of the Israeli Govt, and by supporting them, are genocidal themselves. But I don't think you can/should use the word "Jews" or "Jewish" when talking about support for war crimes/genocide happening in Palestine.

International Law has been a failure in Palestine for 70 years, Israel has acted with absolute impunity because the UN Security Council has vetoes and the USA always uses it to protect white supremacy.
