The club obviously have to challenge it, but that means if we do and he fails he gets four weeks?????

How bad is our timing with the tribunal. Michael Johnson's huge backside hits a player in the face just as the scrutiny falls on head high contact and he gets four weeks. Then when the spotlight is on taggers and scragging an innocuous challenge from Josh might cost him four weeks????

What did Kerr get?

Melbourne best poss chance? please...JCarr has had a poor season anyway.

We'll go to tribunal for sure...why not

What a joke, Carr should have got 1-2 max. Kerr copped 5. :o

He got two, but he had carryover points.
I mean Josh doesn't have anyone to blame but himself, same with Kerr.
Probably be a good idea for both of them to play the ball.

So a headbutt off the ball that resulted in a player being off the ground for some time and a dead leg where the player bounced back up could both result in four weeks. That makes sense.

Never mind the fact that you overlooked the extra carry over points, and possible deductions for early guilty plea vs challenging.

Okay we need to challenge this... it will be very interesting to see what G Ablett has to say about the level of contact... I think if hes honest J carr may have charge downgraded and maybe still cop a week with carryovers...

Kerr has carryover points too. That's irrelevant though, the two incidents are polar opposities. If two players get four weeks the two incidents should be of a similar magnitude.

He shouldn't have done it. It was stupid and unnecessary - Crowley was beating Ablett hands down - and it cost us a goal.

Hopefully we take it and try to get the message across to Carr that we don't need that kind of thing.

yeah this really isnt that bad of news.

J Carr hasnt been playing that well all season!

Mainly because Hasleby and Headland have been out of the side. If Carr, Headland and Hasleby are all missing the tag will go to Palmer and he'll start to struggle.

the tag is going to go to palmer sooner than later no matter what we do.

A week ago people were saying that he needed to return to the niggling, tight checking Josh Carr that played for Port. We can't have it both ways, it was a nothing incident and not even worth a one match ban.

his niggling is great when it is within the rules. kneeing someone really, really isn't within the rules. especially in front of the umpire. it was a frustratingly annoying action by him, and really unnecessary.
