J.Watson vs. C.Judd

Watson had a stellar 2012 and Judd perhaps his first indifferent season (by his standards) which was still better than many.

who would you take for season 2013?

will JW continue from last year or will Judd return to higher peaks with the return of a fitter and healthier midfield brigade to help him?

Going into 2013, I'd pick Watson.

Judd's had the better career though.

No doubt Judd will have some blinder performances this year, but he's starting to wind down and it will all be about managing his body to keep him good come finals. Watson is peaking and expect him to have at least 2 more seasons at this level.

I honestly would not care which 1 I had for the 2013 season, both will have great seasons

Careers it's obviously Judd but I just think in 2013 Watson would have more to offer the Tigers than Judd. Players peak at different times and right now Watson is in career best form while Judd is slowly winding down.

Judd is a champion of the game. He'll go down as one of the great mids of our time, BUT, from this point forth I think Watson is the better player. Both guns though. Two of the best.

Watson's clearly the better player now. Wouldn't have a second's hesitation picking him first.

Not sure Carlton are guaranteed to make finals either. They've got to get there first before they worry about nursing Golden Balls.

Must say I'd take Watson right now and not because he won the Brownlow but for how many times he gets to the ball and gets things motoring along.
With Gibbs, Yarran and Tuohy on the periphery he'd make for a pretty handy extractor.

Happy to be shown up as being wrong though.

Hawthorn's current line up has two pretty stellar inside mids in Mitch and Sewell who play similarly to Watson, so Judd would be my get.
