Not sure if the following has been posted before or not. I know there was a thread about young Jack a while ago, but my poor search technique couldn't dredge it up. Apologies!

Best & Fairest – Jack Silvagni Best and Fairest in this astounding team is Jack Silvagni. Jack had a remarkable season from the start to the finish. Jack plays on the ball, rover or follower - it doesn’t matter. He is a strong overhead mark, ferocious tackler and is the master of the run down. He is a huge kick on either side of the body and kicked 7 goals in the Grand Final, 5 on the right 2 on the left. Jack was runner up in the YJFL votes this year and Player of the match in the Grand final which he richly deserved. He loves a big occasion and his finals series was outstanding. He leads by example and has skills beyond his years. He commits to the team totally.

Always thought Jack resembled Jo more than Stephen, but his footy skills appear inact. Runner-up in his league's equivilent of the Brownlow and winner of 'Norm Smith' sounds pretty good to me.

Ben Silvagni played tackers for the same club. Can't pick him from the team photo below (my guess 3rd from left front row) so if anyone could help out I'd appreciate it.

The kid second from the right, front row, could be mistaken for Scarlett's kid by the looks of him.
 
Kicked 2 goals for the Under 12's last week. The report kept mentioning "Jack", so I'm assuming it was him

Jack will be playing along Kruezer, Murphy and Gibbs - the real leadership group
just got to wait a few more years to see this.

Doesn't affect F/S eligibility (otherwise young Daicos would no doubt try to play at Carlton alongside his favourite player Marc Murphy).

My god Carlton could do with a little Daicos in our team.

While I do enjoy thinking about the prospects of another SOS, I just hope he can handle the pressure that comes along with this tag.

This kid has almost been tracked from the time he first kicked a football.

Correct me if i am wrong but the only f/s selection where the son becomes just as good a footy player as his old man is the G Ablett jnr selection .

Admittedly, with Judd, Gibbs and Kreuzer in the side it will be tough for Murph to win 5 B&F's in his career, and I doubt he'll ever top the club's goal kicking, but it's still too early to say that 214 games and 326 goals are out of the question...

Do you think Vinny was that much better than Jarrad will be by the end of his career?

Or more (genetically) to the point, do you think Serge was better than Stephen?
 
Haha, love it how the scouts on this board are already licking their lips. He's 12 years old, let the kid have a kick and have some fun.

Saints supporter? I don't think SOS would allow Jack to go anywhere but the CFC.

I cannot comment on the two above mentioned , as i have never seen them play.

But guessing they have both turned out as good if not better footballers than their Fathers.

But having said that are there any others that have reached the level both G Ablett Snr & G Ablett jnr have reached , both absolutely remarkable footballers.

I admit to attending Geelong games just to see a Ablett Snr spectacle. The 90's unforgettable!!!

I'm pretty sure the season has just started, therefore he would of won last years U11s b&f, when we was 11. :cool:

They are true Blues. Jo Silvagni said she would never let that die and I have seen them at many functions.
