Stringer is miles ahead of Langford in terms of ability - now teams have figured out Langford he's finding it tough.

Every club puts attention into Stringer, yet he still won games off his own boot - if he is fit for the back half of the season, he'll be a weapon for GWS.

Yep, if we can get him in shape for the back end of the season, his ability at center bounce asnd as a 4th forward option is gonna be very helpful

Langford is a better pseudo KPF though. Better on the lead and stronger overhead as evidenced by him being top 10 in marks inside 50 in 23 and 24.

Not sure if Langford was found out either. Teams definitely had success just playing their FB on him in the back half of the year instead of using them on our resting ruck or Peter Wright but it coincided with him looking much less mobile and playing through a hip injury.

There's no way he'd get a look in in GWS' centre square crew, surely?

Firstly they simply don't need him in there, and secondly he just can't run the way Kingsley demands his midfielders can.

Stringer was never meant to be a 4 quarter 30 disposal player. He's there to be that damaging player that rips open games, and gathers everyone around him. He needs to build more consistency but be that damaging player that can be relied on.

Strangely never really broke a game open in a big game.

Both Stringer and Langford have their strengths. Neither are miles ahead of the other.
Langford has kicked 51 then 43 goals last couple years. He can also switch to defence and be great there.
Stringer kicks goals, can be an impact player and monster mid clearances and as you say won games off his own boot. Just doesnt have the tank to run out games.

Hope Stringer does great at GWS. He didn't want to leave us.
