If he finishes off the season with more strong performances he'll probably be a lock. At the moment he's just in contention I think.

I think he's ahead of Betts, even with Rioli but should be well ahead him (perceived Hawthorn media bias) and behind Wingard
Depends how the AA selectors go with the team, do they pick 13 mids or go with say 8 or 9 and have a normal looking team?
Normal AA team

If he gets picked it will be in a forward pocket

True, but Cox did play as a true ruck/fwd that year, think he averaged over a goal a game that season, and ended up getting ruck/fwd status in Supercoach/Dreamteam in 2013 from it. 2nd rucks have been picked on the bench also, depends on the silly direction they want to take with the team. They have picked 3 KPFs the last 5/6 times. The exception being a resting ruck in the pocket (Dean Cox - 2012).
Another KPF should be in your 4 "locks", my only locks are Kennedy and Wingard up forward.Kennedy, Betts, Wingard, Stringer should all be in the forward line. With either Walker or Cameron and likely one midfielder(Dangerfield) in the last spot.

They like putting in players who have performed for more than one year so I don't think he will make it this year but get on him know for 2016 when he will kick 60-70 goals. Not sure if they bet on All-Australian but if you can get odds for 2016, get on the package now!
Reminds me much more of G Ablett Snr.
71 from 28 games it isI read somewhere that Jake has 71 goals in his last 28 games. Will be very very close to AA. Opposition coaches and media love him.
Can't see Bob Murphy not making the team either.Surely Wood gets on field in front of KK. He was useless for the first half of the season.
Fair point Hoges64 Wood was better early and KK has been very good latelySurely Wood gets on field in front of KK. He was useless for the first half of the season.
Yikes.Fair point Hoges64 Wood was better early and KK has been very good lately
i think to be honest the selectors would probably go with Hodge anyway.
Hypothetical for you if you could swap Easton Wood and KK would you ?
As far as i know we only have one Darley we would need at least fiveYikes.
I guess probably not. Both having very good years now but I believe we need Woods better defensive prowess and intercept marking ability more than KK's groundwork and ability to drive and create.
Swap for JJ? Maybe, but gun to my head probably not. For Boyd? Probably, only due to the age factors. If both were 22 then probably not. For Biggs? Again, gun to my head probably not.
For Darley, yes, that's our swap.
Sadly, I can't find a spot for KK on our list except to replace Boyd in 2017, or for Darley now.
Who would've thought that? I would've replaced our entire back 6 except for Moz and Murph with him last year.

Forwards were announced first, Stringer is in.I didn't know where to post this but considering Jake will no doubt make the team, AFL Players have named the midfielders for the squad of 22under22. Wallis, bont, Macrae the 3 who made it from the dogs (which is the most apart from GWS who also have 3).
Stringer and JJ I also expect will be in the squad.
EDIT: JJ has made the squad.
Don't think the forwards have been released yet.
why? do you think he doesn't deserve it or do you think he won't be recognised? It would be nice but I doubt it will come to pass.
