Jenkins and our first pick at the end of the year (10-14)..... Not ideal for Brisbane but they would have to take that and move on you'd imagine..

Aish and B Crouch would absolutely cement our midfield for the next 10 years

Brisbane will want a Top 10 pick.

Brisbane have 0 power in the negotiations if Aish only wants to go to one club. ;)

I.e Aish will go for unders.

If Aish is happy to go anywhere, then Brisbane have some power.

Thats the key. If he says, just send me anywhere in Melbourne - they could easily get a top 5 pick.

However - if he says just one club - I think a pick between 15 and 25 will get it done.

I'm thinking a Polec like deal is what we'll be angling for. (Similar draft positions originally, only real difference is Polec hadn't overly cemented his spot in the lineup, whereas Aish all but has)

I.e first, second and third for Aish, second, third and 4th.

Brisbane want a KPF, doesn't mean it has to be one of ours, a 3 way trade could be made, sending some of our inside midfield depth to a club, who sends a KPF to brisbane, who send Aish home.

But really, no one is going to trade them a legit KPF for aish, they should be putting a $1mil+ offer to Hawkins.

If we can get Aish's signature and Brisbane want a KPF then it becomes simple for the lions. We hand over our 1st round pick (teens) and loose change for Aish.
The lions will then be armed with 2 1st round picks (one likely low) to chase a gun forward if they can convince the player and opposition to make a trade.

We dont like it when the Sydney flogs said that to us about Tippett and we wont like it when the Geelong flogs say that should Danger go.
We need to be reasonable and it will be. No one gets screwed at the trade really, or the AFL wont pass the trade.

Yeah can't see how we can loose JJ. Even if Ramsey comes along he's a different animal. Lowden is drawing a long bow.

No matter though, no need to complicate things. We need outside class. We need Aish. We give Brisbane something fair for Aish.

What they do with it, eg spend it on a KPF, is up to them. We don't have to get involved in their KPF search at all.

In-demand James Aish could remain a Lion!

BRISBANE Lions midfielder James Aish has not indicated he wants to switch clubs and could remain at the Lions beyond this year, his manager Liam Pickering says.

"I don't know (if Aish will be at the Lions in 2016). At the moment, he's a Brisbane player," Pickering told radio station SEN on Saturday.

"Of course clubs would be interested in James if he decides to leave, but he hasn't told me he wants to leave.

"He's already there (contracted at the Lions) so he doesn’t need to tell me he wants to stay, he needs to tell me he wants to leave and he hasn't told me that."'

No chance of that happening, given that this would mean us paying less a late 1st round pick in total. It's highly likely that we'll finish higher than Brisbane, so an exchange of 2nd & 3rd round picks is an upgrade for us.

Maybe our 1st & 2nd for Aish + Brisbane's 3rd.

Why are people so keen on getting rid of Jenkins? Do we have some mysterious 40 goal a year forward/ruckman waiting in the Sanfl?
They're just busy doing Playstation trades. There's almost no chance of JJ going anywhere, given that he seems very happy at Adelaide and doesn't seem to have any desire to go anywhere.
