As with Akermanis in his prime: as long as you're backing it up, go for it.

I'm sure most opposition supporters were like me in thinking "who does this w***er think he is?" when he was a nobody and his personality was really the only notable thing about him, but now that he's undeniably a top player and he's backing up all the sideshow stuff with his performance, I admit, it's good to see.

I like Sicily. Brings a bit if character to the game.

I loved it when Jed Lamb got stuck into him last year and his bottom lip hit the ground. I can't believe more clubs don't try and put him off his game as he seems ultra aware and sensitive about what is said about him. Like he would be so easy to get to and distract.

He is great at doing that to others but a prime target himself

I like players with attitude and a bit of mongrel in them, I think most supporters would like Sicily if he was playing for their club but is annoying enough that they don't like him because he plays for Hawthorn.

Whenever I see him I still chuckle at the "Shaun who?" comment after his suspension.

I don't understand attitudes towards this guy. People seem to love his work but hate him.

I'm the opposite. He's a decent enough player but high possession half backs are a dime a dozen. He's a dickhead but so what? Every team has dickheads and you generally love them if they are your dickheads.

You do realise that Sicily is playing as a center half back right? Burton and Burgoyne are the Hawks players currently playing across half backs. Birchall as well when he comes back from injury.

I only have to go back 3 weeks to see Ziebell towel him up the moment he was made accountable. It was a true blessing in disguise for him when Higgins went down and Ziebell had to go in to the middle.

Like I stated, he looks like a millionaire against sides like essendon that absolutely overcook the ball and suffocate their forwards.
