Well i cant believe it. No discussion about Hampson? Think about it, he adds size, bulk mobility, and best of all flexibility.

Play him at CHF

1.This will release Kruezer into the ruck around the ground to compensate for Warnocks lack of finesse in this area. Kreuzer is not playing well as a permanent forward.
2.He is also added insurance in case of injury to one of our ruckman.
3.Allows our defence to stay together with Jamo and henderson taking the big boys

IMO Hampson is in our best 22, its just that we keep thinking of him as a third ruckman, which starts the inevitable Hampson v Warnock debates. We are crying out for another big man so why not make Hampson a KPP?

Hampson can't kick straight for the life of him and being tall and athletic does not make one a KPP.

This is not correct at all Waite is nearing 30 and is becoming injury prone whilst he still has a few years left we need someone else for the longer term, Kruezer has rarely performed effectively in his career as a forward,he clearly plays his best football in the ruck, our defence is going very well and is in good shape with Jamison at full back and Henderson CHB, add the development of Watson and our defence is in good shape in the coming years.

Our forward half is a different story, whilst Betts, Gartlett and Walker have been excellent, most of the better games have come against weaker opposition, we need a more rounded attack to match the best sides in the next year or two.

I definitely agree our forward line could do with a key position player, but that should not under any circumstances come at the cost of our defence.

The lack of a tall marking option is our biggest downfall atm. However, I dont advocate the club picking up Fev unless we can rookie him and get him for nothing. I think that if we make a move for him, the paddlepops are going to try and rip us a new one

Yes, if he took Fev Rookie is the way to go. Alot more room to move for us.

As for the Paddlepops, how funny would it be. We got Lucas and Hendo, gave them Fev and his huge contract, which in the end wrecked their list, blew their salary cap to pieces and then, after all that, have Fev playing for us again when it really matters for a shot at the title. Be like getting Lucas and Hendo for nothing as well as freeing our Cap, not to mention having our KP forward back not the flag window is open for a good shot at it. You'd have to chuckle if it ever turned out that way.

Go back to the season start and how we cursed Hampson playing up forward. He couldn't play KP, couldn't hold a mark and couldn't kick straight and in the end was dropped for one who could, Setanta, who got to ruck with Warnock before he both hurt himself and Kreuzer returned.

Let's not re-visit Hampson as a KP forward.
