Need Ballas in there for a General I can't see him going any where.

Before Yesterday this would have been an easy decision though Dardy mcarThor has grabbed his opportunity with both hands should definitely stay in after that performance.
Tough decision. Aint that great:D

Oh Just read Ballas is injured Derp.

Mmmm Interesting 88mph
I understand your possie, its brave, and i reckon that might be what Ross will do

History indicates that's not Ross' style. Nothing he hates more than leaving his 'Ferrari's' in the garage.

You could say Ballas out gives a legitimate opening of sorts, but like others are saying, that makes us awfully tall. All things being equal he'd come in for Tabs I suppose, or McCarthy - but that's not the sort of message I like to see. The latter obviously has shown form and Tabs has done everything right and has been gifted nothing.

Tough call.

He can come straight in if he’s ready but there would have to be some restructuring.
Hogan, Lobb, McCarthy, Taberner is too tall. Doesn’t matter who we’re playing, if the ball gets walked out of our forward line because there’s not enough smaller agile guys to put enough pressure on then we’ve made a mistake. We’ve got a good mix of talls already. I don’t know how it’s going to work, maybe someone has to miss out. It’s a good dilemma to have I suppose

Hoges will gave to wait for an opening - either by injury or form. A tall side in Queensland is just not very smart. It's always humid there to a degree, except in the depths of winter. Ballas needs to be replaced by another small.

There's nothing wrong with having some depth and competition for spots. There will be an injury at some point.

i am just glad he is putting his hand up to play. I was afraid how long it might have taken for him to be mentaly ready. I'll leave it to the club to decide if we bring him in for the GC game. After yesterday win i have faith in the club to make the right call. After socring 141 points the least we could do as supporters is trust their decision, for now...

If he ticks all the boxes straight in for ballas it doesn’t matter if you’re tall or small it’s the way you move Hogan moves well that’s why he got runs through the middle for the dees
Fyfe is tall but I don’t think anyone would knock back another one of him to put in our fwd line along side our other talls

He's kicked 7 goals in a game in the AFL. We don't have anyone else that's done that.
I think next best is Dardy & Tabs with 5.
7 goals in a modern day game of AFL is no small achievement

Just watched the replay. Mccarthy plays totally different to Lobb and Tabs but still doesn’t have the pressure of the smalls meaning we lose offensive pressure if we bring in another talk.

Lobb and Tabs are closer in style. Lobb has Tabs covered by a long way and turned the ball over less. Tabs almost cost us a 50m at one stage for kicking the ball after a whistle and was lucky not to hand his goal back to to north for a cheeky jab to the guts.

Hogan should come in for Tabs for balance reasons. He is a great back up but not up to the level of the other three whilst McCarthy brings that steely grit

Everyone saying to drop Taberner is crazy, we have historically been a much better team with him in the side.

Its time for people to start admitting it, Taberner is AFL quality and an integral part of our side.

See "The Matt Taberner Effect"

Bring in Hogan and play the 4 pronged forward line, rotate Hogan/Tabs up and down the wing if need be, can never have too much aerial presence up a wing.

Disagree, he is not an integral part of our side. He made us better because we had no one else, we do now.

I do believe he is AFL quality but I believe we have better quality on our list now, particularly Cox and Hogan who play a more similar role than Lobb and McCarthy

Another worry I have bringing in Hogan for Ballas is that Lobb and Hogan (with another tall) all went for the same ball and we got smashed with the small defenders rebounding hard.

You can definately play all 4. They are all athletes, we have significant tall forward depth why not take advantage of it. I think we have enough runners from the mids and wings to get to the fall of the ball anyways. I also dont think any of the 4 talls are useless when it hits the deck.
