My wife's boss' sister-in-law is a volunteer at the canine kennels in Sydney's Balmain district and regularly signs up new patrons.

She has confirmed that a dog matching the description of Jesse Hogan's new dog has been booked in by a newly registered male customer with brown hair for alternating weekends between March and September 2021.
Unfortunately she wasn't at liberty to confirm the dog's name.
She also mentioned the male sounded very much like he was smoking a cigarette whilst on the phone.
