18 disposals today. His second best total in his career. 8 marks also. Played up the ground more which was interesting...

He's building into some good form.

The most startling change I see in Jesse is his willingness to get and keep the ball under pressure, and then take responsibility for actually kicking it. He is no longer panicking when he gets the ball. He actually steadies and chooses a good option.

He is also attacking the ball really hard and is willing to bulldoze people out of the way to get it

It's great to see a player who has copped so much flak hit back and show that he can play some consistently good football. I really hope he can keep it up, will be handy for the team if he can.

Just for the record, while it was his second best (disposal) total in his time at Collingwood (21/18), at Sydney he managed 20 twice, so it was the fourth best total in his career. His two highest disposal games at Collingwood have come in losses, and his top two at Sydney came in finals, which probably counts for a fair bit as well.

Thought he played really well yesterday.... again. Presented well and as Vicky said he took responsibility and found an option rather than panic.

Earlier this year when the media (and us fans... including me) were berating the club, Jesse was listed as one of our 'failed' recruits. Completely written off categorically by media and fans. If he's able to maintain this form for the rest of the year, we'll all be getting our napkins ready in preparation for our humble-pie eating session.

I reckon playing back has helped him. Being able to run through the ball (instead of turning when you're a forward) and also having to be accountable.

Picked it after his break-out game against Carlton weeks ago. Was entering career best form. His dumy balls to the opposition then run and carry is something to behold from Jesus (Hai-zus) The murmor from the crowd tells it all. A fan favorite right now.

Edit, 1,000th post. *toot toot. :thumbsu:

I think the other key factor here is Cloke. Cloke workrate has dropped off hence his VFL stint, and the last 12 months he only wanted to wrestle in the F50. which meant that any forward such as white leading, into the F50 has no space to work with.

Cox, Moore and White are all working hard up the ground and back and leaving empty space behind them for the others then to lead into. which is no surprise that all are reaping the divedends.

Was truly horrible today. Missed easy shots and lost a marking to contest to 170cm 64kg Jake Neade. But I bet he'll get a better wrap than Cloke.

Thought apart from the 2 goals he missed he was pretty good, decision making is something that has improved massively.

He has to be a lot more aggressive, some of his soft efforts are disgusting. Out marked by Jake Neade....

White is a lover not a fighter.
